Bought these because I wanted to avoid using disposables - save the planet and all - but they're totally useless.

Ineffective - they absorb next to nothing. You'd be way better off cutting up an old t-shirt and sticking that in there. Compared to the absorbent power of disposables, these are laughable.

Uncomfortable - they are cut to lat completely flat, not fitted to the curve of your breast at all, so they bunch and fold uncomfortably when actually worn. They also shift around a lot, as there's nothing to hold them in place, and end up in unfortunate places. And the heart shape, while cute, is stupid as far as ensuring adequate coverage.

Super visible - Not only are they thick enough that their outline is clearly visible through anything but a very padded bra, but, because they are not fitted and bunch/fold awkwardly around your breast, the bunching/folding of the extra fabric pokes out and makes them even more visible.

Pros: leakproof
Cons: heart shaped ones are annoying because they roll up once you dry them and they are too small, while they are leakproof they may not stay in place depending on what type of bra you wear with them so you wake up drenched if they slide out of place, also"” because they are leakproof I feel like they are not as breathable as the cotton and that makes my breasts stinky from the wet milk that stays contained (gross!!).
Overall, I would prefer something else but I don't know if there is anything better on the market. If bamboobies created a comfortable leakproof nursing bra with the crossover design and no clasps, with the addition of I insert areas for these pads"” I might try that.

I love these nursing pads. They are definitely only for when your milk has regulated and you aren't leaking as much; they don't hold a lot (even the overnight ones). My main goal with purchasing these was to have an extra layer of protection while I was out and about in public and I wouldn't have lumpy breasts; goal achieved.

The only thing I don't like is when I wash them in the washer some of them curl and they don't wash as thoroughly or dry thoroughly without multiple dry cycles or trying to get them to uncurl enough to air dry. After using these for about a month some of them (the ones that are curling) have a faint smell to them, sort of like a build up of leaked breast milk that hasn't been cleaned well enough. Hopefully I can figure out how to remedy this.

I've been using Bamboobies for years! Starting back when they were just a new company starting to get recognition. I LOVE Bamboobies!

When I started using Bamboobies, I was skeptical that they would work. I leaked through every brand of disposable pads I had bought. This happened so often I would wear two shirts and carry a sweater around just in case I leaked through.
My first pair of Bamboobies were these light pink heart shaped ones. They were so soft, but they did wrinkle in my nursing bra and create lumps that showed under my shirts. However, I was able to wear them for longer than disposable ones before leaking through.
When I had my second baby, I bought a multi-pack of Bamboobies and a pair of overnight ones. The overnight ones are just as soft, but are larger and more absorbent. I rarely leaked through the overnight ones. I did still use disposable nursing pads because I only had about 4-6 pairs of regular Bamboobies. I didn't have time or energy to do laundry that often.
I'm currently nursing my third baby and have almost exclusively used Bamboobies (aside from when they're all dirty). These are still, years later, incredibly soft and absorbent! My older Bamboobies don't wrinkle under my bras anymore and I can go practically all day without needing to change them. When I do use disposable nursing pads, they're rough, itchy, and create crunchy lumps in my bras that show through my shirts. Bamboobies are by far my favorite nursing pads! I've never had issues with mold (unless I let them sit wet for too long before washing them, even then, sun drying them kills that mold) and rarely have any issues with leaking through them. The only time they leak is when they're completely saturated with milk and leak around the edges, never the backing.

1. Backing Side. Never had any issues with stitching unraveling or leaking through the backing.
2. Bamboo side. They're both soft, but my older one is fluffier than the brand new one. Edges on my older one have curled inward a bit, but that's not an issue and helps contour to the breast.
3. Old Bamboobies pad on top of brand new Bamboobies pad. My old ones are slightly smaller than unwashed new ones, which again isn't a problem due to it tucking easier into my bras. It's never lost absorbency due to slightly shrinking.

Disclaimer: I am writing this review to get a free pair of Bamboobies, but my good review and opinions are based on 5+ years of use between nursing 3 babies. These views and opinions are my own.

Bamboobies have a cult like following that, now that I've used them, I just don't quite understand. The daytime pads slip around and the heart-shaped pad makes for awkward placement. I've actually leaked through my clothes because the v of the heart slipped down under my nipple. I can see where maybe for larger chested women, that these might work better. For reference though, I'm a C cup and these babies are a lot of coverage on width. I also did not like how they aren't finished - it's a basic stitch about a quarter inch in - all the way around, leaving the layers exposed on the outer edge.The night time pads are giant and have no shape to them so they often crease inside my nightgown or sleeping bra. Both pads have the bamboo layer that goes against the skin which is very soft but is not wicking at all, leaving you feeling like you went to bed after a wet t-shirt contest. Keep on blogging these puppies, but they are totally not for me.
