Simply the best flavor/texture

This flour helps us create a great gluten free flour blend. It's the best texture of brown rice flour I have ever tried. It's very soft and delicate; not gritty like most brown rice flours. This flour makes all the difference in our GF mixes. It's also a single ingredient manufactured in a clean place for those with food allergies. Just be sure to note, it's a bit pricey.

We have experimented with gluten free recipes and found that the the finer grind of the Authentic Foods flour reduced the grittiness of rice flour baked goods quite a bit. It is a bit pricey, but if you want a gluten free baked good that tastes as close to regular wheat flour as possible, this is the solution.

I started using rice flour, occasionally, when I discovered and implemented Blood Type Diet, then incorporated it into Teacher Genotype. I've never seen the brown rice flour and wanted to use it because it is whole rice. I made a batch of blueberry muffins with it and loved them. I searched for recipes using rice flour and discovered a plethora of them and almost always, they also called for other flours to "firm them up". I enjoy the delicate texture of using the brown rice flour only. I've also used it to coat tofu cubes and rectangles for frying; it's up there with cornstarch and arrowroot. I've also experimented a long time with developing a recipe for homemade crispy/tender waffles and finally hit upon the idea of incorporating rice flour with the whole and white spelt flours I used. They were a mouthful of crispy/tender deliciousness. Of course, I used other ingredients as well to come up with the final product, yet this was the crucial ingredient. Love the bag closure, too; many times the "zips" on recloseable bags won't come together; this one is more like plastic Velcro and ensures a full seal.
