Nice clean leaves with a good strong odor. Excellent deal.

I have been spoiled by Penzey's bay leaves. These were less fragrant when I opened them than the few aged leaves remaining in the Penzey's bag. More of the leaves are broken and they are generally smaller than the more expensive brand. Yes, they were significantly less expensive but I'm using twice as much so it's a false economy in this case. I will put my tail between my legs and skulk back to buying Penzey's when these are gone.

My main use of bay leaves is in making stocks. My standard stock seasoning, whether made with a chicken carcass, turkey necks or ham or beef bones) comprises bunches of parsley stems, a spoonful of peppercorns, and a handful of bay leaves. This results in a good, serviceable stock for many applications.

Much fresher than the bay leaves you get in the grocery at a fraction of the price.

I'm happy with this product and will buy again is a five star .

Poor quality, I will not be ordering this again. MANY browned spotted leaves, all torn, some almost a powder.
