Great on S&W M&P 22 Pistol.
RunNGun74•October 20, 2017
I mounted this on a S&W M&P 22. The pistol will acutally cycle with this sight and the Burris 410336 Smith & Wesson M&P red dot mount. The ammo I used was CCI mini mags (40g & 36g), Winchester Super X (40g & 37g), & Remington Thunderbolt 40g. I would say the pistol has about 2000 rounds through it with the Fastfire III installed. I've not had to readjust zero since sighting it in. It's a good red dot for the price, but not in the league of my Trijicon RMRs or Luepold Delta point. Those red dots are a bit heavier so I'm not sure a 22LR has generates enough recoil to cycle the slide.
How to cheat at handguns
Andrew H.•June 25, 2017
I shoot a lot, but still not the best with handguns. To put it in perspective I've shot around 10k rounds this year. That being said I'm very familiar with how to operate a firearm efficiently. This product has made me 2x faster and more accurate, maybe more, no joke. It feels like cheating!
Took a second to adjust to acquiring the dot. Kinda blocks you from looking down the barrel. I've used red dots on ARs, very similar, but I think this is better.
I mounted this on my ruger mark IV 22/45 on the factory supplied pic rail. Easy install, blue threadlock 15in/lb on clamp, 12in/lb on sight to base. Easy to sight in, was like 7in left and 4 in low to start. 10yds
Super fast target acquisition, no parallax, and plenty bright enough. It was a nice clear sunny day and I could use it on the medium setting. The auto control had it on the brightest setting, which was fine too. Shot 600 rounds (only 22) and it held zero fine. At 10yds it was boring, 25yds still very easy and at 40yds I was getting way more hits then with open sights.
This all being said, you must still practice regularly to stay proficient with all aspects of firearm, especially if it's going on your daily carry. It makes it easier to aim but that doesn't replace range time!
I cannot comment on the battery life at this time, as I received it yesterday evening and shot today. Will update in future if it's short and irritates me lol
May be ording another for my shield 40, but might get one with auto on off.

Order execution A bit challenged, but ...

But I believe Amazon will make it all better. I have a few other Burris products and am very satisfied with them...soooo add to the story... First order attempt sat for days "waiting" arrrrg.. Tried to do something else, but in the end decided all my research said "BURRIS"!! So back to this item, and signed up for two day delivery, AND product slow coming out if the "pipe"..missed two day promise..more arrrrg. Note to Amazon Customer service, and response was very timely, and they promised to credit the ship fee. Tick tick...tick...
Now the product! Amazing. Quick simple install on my Smith & Wesson 22 Victory. Victory comes with optional rail, and base with Burris worked swell. Sighted in and shooting ragged hole 10 shot group all on the bullseye.. Wowsers! So first day install and shoot were beyond expectations.
Soon I hope to say "all better now Amazon".

Quality, Versatility, and Great Bang For The Buck
Scott•June 3, 2017
Just a great all around site, and its size really adds to its value and versatility. From a pistol, to a .22 rifle, to a shotgun, carbine or even airsoft/pellet gun, the low profile red dot gives you plenty of options. Nice auto adjustable dot feature, small MOA if you want to reach out to further targets, quality build, best value on the market IMHO. Burris makes quality products, so don't be fooled by the price compared to something like an RMR, I don't see any compromise with the Fastfire. Only downside I can see is that it has an auto off feature set to something like 8 hours, so if you use this always powered on with your concealed carry, that's something to consider. You might want to power off and on during a bathroom break or something to insure you always have it on if you need it.
I really really love this red Dot optic on my Canik TP9-SFX
Frank Contreras•April 24, 2017
I really really love this red Dot optic on my Canik TP9-SFX. The FastFire III is an amazing addition to my hand gun. I did notice at first I turned it on and after a few moments it turned off and wouldnt turn back on. I removed the battery and put it back in and it worked. It did have to do this twice right off the bat but after the second time it never did it again. When you do install the battery take your time and make sure the lid is lined up perfect then screw it down tight. It leads me to believe that maybe I didnt install the battery properly the first two times. I have since put 1200 rounds with this sight mounted and it has worked flawlessly. My groups are extremely tight and I had no problem picking up the red dot. The key is to look at your target and the sight will be there every time. If you try to focus on your screen or iron sights first it wont.be there and will take some time to pick it up. I dont know for you but I feel we are designed to focus in at our target or threat, not iron sights. I feel for this reason it makes using an optic like a red dot effective. The Burris FastFire III does not disappoint. The quality is just as good as most out there twice or three times the price. I picked up the Burris instead of the Vortex viper due to the fact that Ive heard Burris has top notch customer service. I'm SUPER impressed with the FastFire III and would recommend this to anyone in the market for a red dot optic. If you have any questions feel free to ask. If my review helped you out please thumb me up. Thanks for reading.
