Great deal worth looking into.

Works great with my Dish 211. I'm a little unhappy that I have to use a separate button to turn on the Dish and another for the TV. I lost my original remote and this was an inexpensive replacement. Don't let a five year old carry your remote off, you will never find it again.

Item arrived timely and well-packaged, works great! Now my husband and I can enjoy a remote that works with our 3rd TV without having to figure out a different remote programming. Love it!
UHF/IR toggle switch not mentioned in directions

Following directions and it won't work, thinking, NOW WHAT? After several tries with package directions, switching out batteries and even trying directions that came with previous remote, still no luck. Swapping out batteries and checking the end tab yet again, I noticed a toggle switch under the battery cover, just to the left of the battery compartment labeled UHF/IR. A little detail not found in the directions, BTW. Once I slid the switch to IR, everything worked as it should. I am giving 4 stars merely because I only just configured this remote today. One thing I can say for certain though is that I like the numeral button shape much better than the tiny round ones on the old remote. The last one only lasted about a year and why I chose this style as a replacement.
Works with the Hopper 3!!

Works with Hopper 3!!! Yay! Hate the new Hopper 3 remote and wanted the old remote back. This one does it all-- or at least everything I've asked it to do. It was a bit of a challenge to pair/sync to the Hopper 3, but after researching I got it connected in a snap! While the batteries door is open slide the little switch to "IR."
Then hit the YELLOW button, 6
You might have to set the remote address by: HOLD Sat button til it flashes, press , then #.
This "old style" remote is easier to swap PIP as well as enabling closed caption with just one button - the green button. No colors on the new Hopper 3 remote and the shape and layout are awful! So glad we were able to get this "old style" to do it all!

Our remote was not working properly. Some of the buttons did not work at all. I saw the same remote on the Dish website for literally twice as much. It is the exact same remote that came with our receiver. I did have to call tech support because we had problems programming. The instructions failed to mention the little black switch behind the battery panel. After we flipped the switch, then we were able to follow the included instructions for programming it.
