I got this to replace the cheap antenna that came with a portable tv that I basic just watch the local news on in the kitchen. The original antenna didn't pick up much. With this, I now get 17 of the 29 local stations. It doesn't sound like much, but for what I use the tv for, it works perfectly.
Small but powerful!

Needed an antenna to get me through the cable outage caused by the recent hurricane, Irma. Saw this one on Amazon. I live only 5 miles from the broadcast towers, but my house is concrete and steel. This antenna has an amplifier, powered from your TV's USB port. This makes a big difference in reception. Liked it so much that I ordered a second one for another TV in the house.
Much needed equipment for Hurricane season

Nice compact design and very well made and of very high quality. I have not tried it as yet as the TV's we ordered have not arrived as yet. We expect to have them before the end of the week. I will then install and enjoy watching TV as we purchased the TV and this antenna for preparation for our Hurricane season here in Florida. We did not have a battery powered TV and we lost power like everyone else so we were a little in the dark as to what was going on outside. We figured to purchase the battery operated TV and also a good quality antenna so that in the event we have another storm like this last one we can still be able to see what is going on in the outside world. Nice product and thank you.
... only works if you are in an area with good signal strength

This only works if you are in an area with good signal strength. It won't pick up any signal that's medium to low strength
Especially Good In Metro Areas

I had been using one of those pressed cardboard antennas in the family room since cutting the cord several years ago. It was ok, but I the best reception only came when I taped it to a wall. As you can imagine that was not the sturdiest or pleasing looking method.

After getting fed up with that I decided I needed a new one. Searching through Amazon's hundreds of antenna listings was not a appealing proposition for me so I decided to go back to tried and true. I had previously gotten an August antenna that worked so well that I decided I would get that brand again, but try a different model.

As I expected this worked out super great. It picked up 121 channels. Keep in mind I am in a heavy metro area. I only use about 8 channels, but I have those extras!

Because of the way my TV is built there was a little ledge that the base of the antenna could sit on. I thought the base was just weighted, but then I realized it was actually a magnet. I guess I didn't read the description thoroughly. Anyway, I just so happen to have metal speakers built into the wall, so this antenna holds perfectly to the wall and gives me better reception than it did sitting on the TV - just like where the taped antenna was, but only a lot more secure.

With this antenna I get very little pixelation just occasionally which is to be expected with OAAs. Overall super happy with that purchase as I knew I would be with this brand.
