Great product
mich2014•September 29, 2017
I bought this to replace my panel that was 10 years old. Easy to hook up. I did have to make the hole slightly larger to get the panel to mount flush.
Five Stars

So far, so good. Easy to connect wires. Nice to see the different readings it shows.
Great unit and good service by Amazon and manufacturer

Didn't work out of the box. When you touched the various buttons, nothing happened! Amazon made it right and shipped me a new replacement which worked and we are very happy with the unit. This unit was to replace our 4 1/2 year old prior model. During our troubleshooting of this unit, the mfg informed us our old unit was under a 5 year warranty and if we could locate a receipt they would replace it. Now that's a warranty! In two weeks we had a new model replacement from the mfg! Now I have a backup unit for additional solar projects!
New 2015 model's display offers much more information. But its display is a LOT harder to read compared to 2013 model.

Had the 2013 model which offered very basic display features. However, its display was excellent in that you could easily read the numbers from across the camper. It failed under warranty and I received the 2015 model. Its display provides much more information and the scroll feature is nice for showing SOC, Volts and Amps. The 2013 model's little yellow B button had to be pressed to manually cycle through these values.
Unfortunately, the 2015 model's display is very hard to read unless you are looking directly in-line at it. Activating the blue backlight actually makes it even harder to read the display! What's up with the Engineering department, when they upgrade a product, then make it harder to read? Go figure. Time to search for a MPPT charge controller with an easy to read display.
