My wife bought this unit from a friend who has it for about five years and other than the fact I had to clean out the pump and screen and the bottom of the cooler. I have no problems with it, it's a little loud but we use it in the back half of the house, so I have no major complaints and I would buy another one, if the price is right.

I have not had the problems others have had. I got mine at a home center several years ago. About $100 cheaper than price shown here today. I have not had any issues with the pump or motor. No paint peeling. I replace the pads every year, and it treats me well. I would like if it had louvers to direct the air up and down, but as it is, you can only direct it side to side. Also, it really won't cool the 600 sq ft this says. It only cools my living room, which is 300 sq ft.
