Great Liners!

These are great Liners. I usually buy them in our local grocery store but they haven't had them in store for the last three months. I got tired of waiting and purchased on-line. Exactly what I wanted and needed! They keep the bottom of my electric oven clean and are very easy to put in and throw away.

Just what the doc ordered. We installed a new double oven (31 inch) just two weeks ago, and purchased these to keep the spills at bay. Fit just about perfectly, While both ovens are "self-cleaning" we've found that they aluminum trays are great for keeping limits on how often we need to clean the oven. While I know there are newer materials around which claim to do a better job, my question is why not use something that is inexpensive and works great?
They are cheap enough to put on each shelf of the over, though we use one only on the bottom.

These last forever and are so nice to put in the bottom of your oven to catch things that bubble or spill over. It saves much oven cleaning. I wish these were made a little bigger because there is several inches between the edge of the liner and the front, back, and sides of my oven. It still catches 90% or more of the spills. So easy to just toss away and replace with a new one when it gets dirty.
May Have Caused Heating Element to Quit

I thought I would love this foil liner; however, as soon as I used the oven my electric heating element stopped working above it. Not sure if this was just a fluke, or if it was due to the reflected heat from the liner. At any rate, I am now out the cost of a new heating element too.....Anyone else experience this?

Works fine- does what it's supposed to do, which is to protect the bottom of the oven from spills so heavy duty cleaning isn't really necessary. They used to sell these in grocery stores decades ago, but when I looked I couldn't find any. Maybe self-cleaning stoves have made them somewhat archaic. But using my self-clean option burned out the control unit on my stove. Not to mention the toxic fumes. So I'm glad to return to an older but safer, easy and practical method.
