It had gotten to the point where I hated the smell of the "blue stuff" as much as I hated the smell of human waste. Now, there is NO smell. No smell of human waste, and no smell of the treatment being used.
Warning. I put some of this stuff in the (plastic/fiberglass) bathroom sink of my RV to mix it with some water, to treat the grey water tank. Some of the powder did not get sent down the drain, and it actually ate into the polished surface of the sink. Make sure you don't leave any of this stuff on the more delicate surfaces.

We are full-timers and have been using this for most of 5 years. We have tried other products from time to time, but always return. Now, personally, it does not make your tank odor-free, but have not found any that did. We find it easy to use, economical, and we use about every 3rd dump in our gray tanks to deodorizer them. We will continue to use this product.

We have been using this tank treatment for a couple seasons now and this is actually our second purchase of Happy Campers. In terms of controlling odors and keeping a clean tank, it seems to work at least as well as the several chemical black water treatments that were in the cabinet when we bought our rig. This is most likely the product we will stick with for managing our black water tank.
We also like the idea of reducing the chemicals that we were flushing into the sewer system.

This seems to work okay although it doesn't really help the odor. Also don't dare leave any of it in the toilet or it will form a substance that can only be described as ultra strong ceramic and will ruin your toilet components.
I've recently removed 2 more stars because after about a year, this product has turned into a solid rock of powder and is no longer usable.

We always used to use enzyme-based DissolveIt! liquid but we always had horrible odor during dumping so that we had to run fans to exhaust the interior smells and hope the wind blew to dissipate the odor from offending our neighbors. I'm telling you, this Happy Camper stuff solved all that. One application and odor was a thing of the past! TOTALLY GONE!
I think it might be safest to mix the one scoop into hot water in a bucket because it tends to crust on the bottom if it is not totally dissolved and could build up over time. But man does this stuff work! We wish we had found it years ago.
