I love this product. I've purchase probably a half dozen or more in the past two years. This is an extremely quality product for a very reasonable price.
I drop these things. A lot. I mean, I keep one for primary use with my laptop and am between work and home every most days. I probably drop it onto a hard surface at least once a week (concrete/tiled floor from standing height) and haven't had the device fail. Seriously, that's surprised me.
This device has a USB dongle that plugs into a device that is quite small. There is a small holder slot inside the mouse next to where the AA battery is seated that holds it. This is an extremely convenient feature and since the battery seating has a lid on it, it secures the USB dongle very well for transport.
It's a Plug and Play device. I've used it with Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10. I've had zero issues with the device being recognized for initial and repeated use.

A Mouse That Plays Dead

The interface between device and PC is intermittent at best. The mouse goes to sleep when it wishes and no prodding seems to re-awaken it unless suitable to its mood. While this seems comical it is not a feature which makes use purposeful. This needs a serious software upgrade and is below the Logitech standards.
Great Job Logi!!!

Awesome trackball. I may be "old-school" on this, but trackballs have always been good to me. 20+ years of using them. The US Navy trackballs were not as advanced as this device in 98'. What this device is...a modern version of the original concept, complete with ergonomics & programmable function. My only gripe...I wish that the ball had more weight. This works fine, but if a heavier ball were optional...I'd gladly pay for it.
Comfortable, Durable, Reliable.

I bought this to replace my current logitech the buttons of which finally gave out after literally thousands of hours of use. This is a solid trackball with good wireless capability. I am super glad this model is still available. I am a gamer. and I approve this trackball. I have tried others. I have a pile of worthless kensington trackballs in my basement. If you want a good trackball that will stand up to thousands of hours of continuous button mashing this is the one to get. I use it wirelessly 5 feet away from my PC.

This model has been my tried and true for many years now. I have more than one--one for each computer I use. Doesn't matter whether it's a PC or a Mac. I hate the mouse devices that force me to move the device all over the desk to use them, and I'm really not fond of the trackpad solutions either. With this mouse, though, I'm in my element. It's comfortable to use and does everything I tell it to without a hiccup. It really is fast and laser-precise. They seem to last forever, and there is an off/on switch in case you want to conserve battery life. I give it a good workout daily and never turn it off, but it seems like I never have to put in fresh batteries--maybe once a year. Every now and then I check to see if there's a newer and "better" product out there, but there never is. :-)
