I would like to give this product only one star, but I have to reluctantly give it two stars only because the thing refuses to die. I bought this alarm clock in 2012 and have been putting up with it for five long years and I have no idea why I haven't gotten rid of it yet. The remotes both worked reliably well for about a handful of months and then on only work when they feel like it. New batteries have zero affect. When the remote does 'work' it will decide for you what it will do despite which button you press. If you press the button to turn on the cd player, the radio will turn on. Trying to change the radio station will maybe turn on the cd player or maybe shut the whole thing off. You never knew what 'Craig' will serve. Did you set the alarm on volume level 3 and choose NPR to wake up to at 4am to be at work on time? Oh, you think you did, but Craig decided to set the volume to zero and chose to set itself to AM radio, which it has no stations programmed to and will will fail to wake up and you will not make it to work on time. Finally, I have had enough of Craig's shenanigans. Anybody want this grab bag of electronic mystery machine, go ahead and buy one and have fun with it for years to come.

Awesome systems for the night stand. Ordered for 2 teens. They like them very much.
Horrible speakers

This is the worst sounding CD player I have ever owned. The included speakers produced no bass and sounded terrible.
I ended up replacing the speakers with (from Amazon) "Logitech Multimedia Speakers Z200 with Stereo Sound for Multiple Devices". I plugged them into the headphones jack and get excellent sound from them.

Crappy Quality

When I purchased this CD/Radio Player I thought it was going to be heavier duty than it it. It is not worth the price I paid. The most I would I would pay would be thirty dollars if I could do it again. I should have done more research and not just went by the look. The remote is not that great, has to be pointed directly at the sensor and the speakers are not very good quality. It does suffice for a 10 year olds room, but I could have purchased one for the same price at a better quality.
best used mounted!

best used if mounted on wall. very lite, when pushing buttons, base almost falls over. on unstable surface don't bump it all falls down. sounds ok in small areas so not to disturb in next room. they might get mad cause the sound is not good enough.
