It looks nice, but this "cooler" does not provide cooling

It looks nice, but this "cooler" does not provide cooling. It is a weak humidifier at best. I live in the Denver area where the dry air should be ideal for evaporative cooling. When the room is 79 degrees and 37% RH, I am measuring 78 degrees and 41% RH out of the cooler. It is not very efficient at cooling or humidifying. I bought a larger cooler and I am usually able to get an 8 to 10 degree temperature drop with 61% RH coming out. I can only recommend this if you plan to use it as a fan.

At the beginning of summer we decided not to run our window swamp cooler. I was looking for a room unit with a small floor footprint and low power consumption. It has performed as expected. The use of ice packs help. It maintained the room humidity around 35%. To me overall it's a well made unit.I found the instruction manual helpful with the maintenance. I do have the issue on the location of the drain. I also used a marker to mark the fill level on the back. I highly recommend an algae treatment and distilled water or filtered water.

Bought this a year ago for the 2months AZ has super low humidity. Put it in storage for the interim. When I got it back out this year, it is dead. Can't seem to resurrect it in any way. Pretty expensive for less than 2 months use
