... is needed when are you doing some heavy griding like fresh coconut griding or griding the pulses
anuragDecember 22, 2017
I used it only few times in the last few years as this is bulky as compared to US based mixers but it has more power which is needed when are you doing some heavy griding like fresh coconut griding or griding the pulses. I wanted to write this review for so long but wanted to use this mixer multiple times before i wanted to post the review. Even after using it only few times with medium grinding material , the Motor Coupler broke.
I really did not have a clue as to why it broke so easily. I spent almost $100 for it and did not use it for more thn 10 times and its useless now.
Good Buy!

Its been serving well! Good Quality.

After couple of years of usage the rubber around the lid came off and the blades lost sharpness and the jar started leaking, had to buy another one. Mixer is going good. Its noisy as any other mixer, wish they could make quieter ones.
Great for chutneys and batter
TanmayaJune 12, 2017
I got it for $77 on a deal and it arrived on time , on unpacking I found all the parts as listed . For the past one month , the mixie has been in great working condition , I took away a star only because I wish the clear lids had a small opening for adding water while grinding batter . I use it for Indian recipes: chutneys , batter , gravies .
The product I got is in good condition and new

This review is for Preethi Eco Twin mixer. The product I got is in good condition and new. For $99 this will be a perfect one for those who are looking for a decent Indian mixer.

Both flexi lid and dome lid are good. But the real problem is changing the blade. There should be an easy way to do this. I tried to change the one in big jar and it is hard as hell. Finally I gave up and used the multi purpose blade it came with. So, other two extra blades are of no use (at least for me). On the smaller one it entire screw and washers (3 washers and a spring) came out. May be they should include a detailed instructions on placing these washers back to the bottom of the jar.
The good: Does the job well

The good: Does the job well. If you are looking a mixer grinder for indian food, this mixer grinder does the job.
You can make chutneys, idly dosa batter (in small batches) which you cannot easily accomplish with american blenders.

Now, the bad part
1) For the cost it is very poorly constructed:
a) the blades are too thin.
b) there are screws inside the jar.
c) The lid-jar locking system isn't good. Need to apply pressure using hands while grinding to keep the food from spilling out.

I would not mind paying few dollars extra if the product was well made. My sub 50$ cuisinart had better blades and jars.

But if you want to cook indian food and are looking for an indian mixer grinder, this seems to be the only choice. Hope manufacturers take note of the below average build quality and improve the product.
