Set up this tank in my office a few months ago with a few Glofish tetras and one African dwarf frog, and we've had great luck so far. No deaths, the filter strength is solid (a touch too strong for the frog, we've had to liberate him from the bottom of the filter twice), and no water quality issues so far. The whole thing has been a hit for people who come into the office and end up making repeat visits just to check on the tank's occupants.

This tank is beautiful when it is set up, however, it is a thin, plastic, piece of crap. The lid is almost impossible to get on correctly because it is so flimsy. It is not hinged and the lips of the tank are so thin that the top just sits there. The light cord and anything else you need such as a bubbler and heater, make putting the lid on impossible. The tank itself is also flimsy plastic. The only thing that makes a glotank glow, is the LED black light. you are better off buying a quality tank setup and then just buying the light separate.

Great Tank. We didn't want a long in width tank because it takes up too much space. This hex tank was the perfect option for us. *Purchased 3 years ago. Our yellow belly turtle is still living happily with plenty of room to dive and do his thing.
We purchased another filtering system last year which is understandable as I didn't expect the included filter to last forever.
Overall it was a great purchase for us.

You'll have to buy another filter, know that and calculate price accordingly.

Like the tank, hate the filter. I have two other tanks and water so much cleaner. So how about rather seeing all of us complain about your horrible filter you send us all the value of the filter as many of us either had fish killed (you should be ashamed of yourselves, imagine how many kids you have traumatized) or had to buy new filters (again, you should also be ashamed of yourselves.)

I should read the negative reviews before I purchase. All bad things happened as other negative reviews said. One fish died due to the too strong filter(its body still stuck on the filter when I find it). The tank is made by cheap plastic so even single clean will leave scratches on it.
