Well buoy and sturdy

Well built and sturdy case. But expensive. I like how the iPad mount can rotate but I'm not a fan of the attachment piece covering the on/off button. The magnetic clipboard is handy but must be removed prior to closing the case. The Apple Pencil fits well on the side of the iPad while in the case. No other pen holder is a serious negative for functionality Im excited to use this when flying but need to come up with a way to bring a pen with me.
Expensive and one big flaw, but yet to find anything better.

First, despite the fact that this product is VERY overpriced and despite the fact that my first one failed due to a poor build (see picture), I did just order my second one, because I have yet to find a better one. It fits my ipad securely in the air and also allows me to use it as an everyday case (removing the leg strap) when not flying. I did not order the first one through Amazon, so I cannot go into my history and tell you how long it lasted before failing, but I think it was about 18 months to 2 years.
Perhaps the case failed BECAUSE I use the product for MORE than just flying. I normally have the elastic knee strap off, and only put it on on when flying. I take my ipad with me to work on a daily basis and use the MyGoFlight as a protective case when in my briefcase. It is a decent general purpose case. But is performs as it should in the air. The elastic straps hold the iPad in place well and the internal rotating plate allows the ipad to easily be set in the horizontal or vertical position. The magnetic removable clipboard holds the paper notepad in place without fail for me.
Other than the extreme overpricing, my biggest gripe is that one of the tiny bolt that holds the metal strap support brackets seem to come loose, which allows the metal bracket to swing free. See the photo. When I get the new one from my recent order, I will risk destroying the original to experiment a bit. I think the screw head is only accessible from the inside, and you must rip through the fabric on the inside to reach the screw head to fix it. A bit of superglue in the threads might help it from coming undone again and duct tape over the ripped internal area might prevent the rip from spreading and allow the second one to be a backup. (The fabric area that will need to be ripped is behind the rotating plate, so it will be mostly hidden after I rip it).

Perfect Kneeboard For Your Electronic Flight Bag. AKA iPad

MyGoFlight iPad Kneeboard Folio C - Universal (for iPad 2/3/4, iPad Air, Galaxy Tab 10, other 9-10 inch tablets)
This Kneeboard is being used with an iPad Air 2, and I have included photos to show how it fits. As you can see in the photos, I am using one of the magnetic covers and insert the top of the cover into the kneeboard clips. The iPad rests on top of the open cover and stays secure. I place it in the horizontal position so I can raise the iPad up slightly. I keep the iPad at a slightly upward angle by placing a checkbook (or you could use anything) between the back of the iPad and open cover to have a better view. It is not so high that it gets in the way of the yoke. The iPad Air 2 also fits if you just want to place it directly into the clips. The clips appear to be made out of a hard molded plastic and they are attached to the case with a stretchy piece of elastic probably so the kneeboard can be used with various sizes of electronic pads.
I have had other iPad kneeboards that do not compare to this one. The leather has a quality look to it and is well put together and seems like it will wear well. So far I have only flown with it once and it worked great. The clipboard is the perfect size for the cockpit and it stays in place next to the iPad magnetically.

Extremely functional and high quality kneeboard.

As a pilot who has tried numerous kneeboards and ipad kneeboards I can say that hands down this is the best kneeboard I've ever used in the cockpit. The magnets on the metal clip work great and make it really easy to go from looking at the ipad to closing the case and just using the clip. Some things when you hold them just feel well made and this fits the bill. It's got the heavy duty long velcro that you know is going to last forever, strong magnets, and nice leather. It might seem like a menial thing but as someone who is replacing a kneeboard that is a little under a year old that has velcro that no longer grips whatsoever I can tell you that it does make a difference. If you are a flight instructor or someone who uses a kneeboard quite often I would strongly recommend spending the extra money on this.
Just a heads up a fellow flight instructor had the pro version and I was torn between the two. Seeing his kneeboard is what got me interested in this brand and I was originally going to buy the pro, but I realized that there is no way to put the ipad in landscape mode with that kneeboard. This is a problem for me as I wear polarized sunglasses that black out the ipad's screen when it's in portrait mode. This one actually allows you to turn the ipad and it's currently quite a bit cheaper. Another reviewer complained about it not coming with paper... I'm not sure I understand the problem however, I can assure you that it's paper chart friendly.

Chunky but high quality

I really like the sturdiness of the case and the magnetic clipboard (still the person who writes the wx and taxi instructions with pen and paper). The leg strap really holds the ipad/ case in place even during maneuvers.
It's a little chunky though, I'm 5'7" and typically ride in a Cessna 172 or Piper Archer, and to sit properly the yoke sometimes hits my iPad when it is fully deflected to the left or right. But that rarely happens, wind correction on taxi mostly. Definitely couldn't have it closed on my lap though, then it would very much be in the way.
Additionally, the top corner piece holding the iPad in place has more than once pressed in the power button and my iPad has been on without me knowing, draining the battery. I have since just untucked that corner and the 3 holding my iPad in place are pretty secure.
