Runs small and the tail kept falling off but super cute

I bought this costume for my 8 year old. I sized up as I always expect Halloween costumes to run small and this one runs small as I expected. The 12-14 fit my 8 year old perfectly. So not disappointed, but my advice is always order a size larger on costumes. The costume looked great on her and is super cute, however the tail fell off repeatedly. So much so that I finally just put the tail in my purse because I was tired of putting it back on the costume.

My almost 9 year old is highly sensitive to scratchy material on her skin, so it usually takes multiple visits to the costume store, picking the costume solely on how it feels (vs the character). Usually includes some tears :( Well, she gives this a 8/10, which is a huge success for us. The fur is not scratchy, but does bother her on the neck so she'll wear a tank top under. But the dress, tights, hat, even face mask were comfortable. I'm a happy mom!

I have an 8 year old that is big for her age, but not overweight, I got her the large 12-14 size and it fit her just right. She love it and she got a lot of complements. The dress is a stretchy velour. The Tail hooks on to back of the dress with a little plastic thing, almost like the kind they use in bras/swimsuits, but it was a little loose and when she sat down, it would come off. All we did was use a baggie tie to secure it and it didn't come off any more after that. The hat was very cute and helped keep her a little warm, but the strings kept getting untied, not sure if it was meant to be tied, but overall we were very happy with it.

My little girl absolutely loves this costume. It came quickly although the fur is a bit smashed and flattened from packaging. Love the way the pieces are each separate. She feels like a cute super hero in the costume and looks adorable..
