Wow! This stuff is seriously awesome. Do like the directions say and apply to wet nails. So, I do my base coat, then a coat or 2 of polish then just put this on. I don't have to wait 5 or 10 min or longer for each coat to dry totally . I put it on pretty thick and that way I don't have to worry about it possibly messing up any polish and within a minute or 2 they are totally dry. Like no worries about smudging or getting indentions I was always forgetting I'd done my nails and crossing my legs with my hand between and totally ruining my polish even if it had been hours since I did them. And it lasts! Usually my polish would be all chipped in a day, 2 at the most if I sat around like a princess. I did my nails and after 5 days only one started to chip. I'd cleaned, washed dishes, gone bowling etc. It's also super glossy - just like going and getting gel nails. And it comes off easily. I'm sold! The price is also best here. Sally's sells one bottle for about the same price as 2 here. Target and Walgreens want about $15 for one bottle.

This product contains a message on the packaging that says "contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause birth defects and other reproductive harm." So just FYI to all potential buyers!

I'm done reproducing so I feel moderately better about using a product that comes with this warning. Beautiful nails are apparently that important to me. That being said, this top coat definitely delivers beautiful nails.

I've used sally hansen instadry top coat for years and always loved it. I decided to give this a try based on a recommendation from a Coworker who I've always had nail envy for. This top coat dries just as fast as sally Hansen but maintains your polish much better. After 3.5 days I did not have a single chip on any nail! My nails also seemed harder, like this top coat added an extra layer, similar to how a gel manicure feels. I did put on a nice thick layer of top coat though...

I was disappointed with how dull my nails became. After three days they were surprisingly dull, had lost a lot of shine, and were looking a little rough. I applied another layer of top coat and they look good as new! See picture attached (it's after 3.5 days of wear and the reapplied top coat).

I was also disappointed with the brush. It came with a lot of hairs bent at odd angles and they keep getting stuck on the rim when I used it. Mildly annoying. Also this top coat smells horrible. It has a very strong chemical smell, so much so that I use it near an open window away from my kids.

Lastly, the directions say to apply this top coat to wet nails. After my first use using this method, color from my nails got into the top coat which I hate. See attached photo. I'm hoping this doesn't affect future use with different colors.

Overall this is definitely the best top coat I've ever used. It saves me from having to do my nails every 3-4 days due to massive chipping. If you can get past the health warning then I highly recommend it.

OH MY GOSH!!! I cannot believe how much time I've wasted waiting for my finger nail polish to dry!!!! I will NEVER paint my nails without this fast dry top coat... it's AMAZING and dries so quickly. I usually use a base coat, then two coats of color, and a top coat... this process used to take me at LEAST an hour, usually more and I'd have smudges or indents ... it was a pain to wait for my nails to dry. Now, I do the base and two coats, one right after the other, then I apply this top coat over my wet color layers, and within 5-10 mins my nails are solidly dry!!! I'm able to go about life as if they were painted hours, or days ago... it's amazing! I've even painted a few friends nails and they were BLOWN away at how quickly they could go back to using their hands normally. This stuff is awesome, and I cannot recommend enough.

I discovered this while on vacation earlier this year when I decided to try another regular manicure (i.e. not gel or acrylic). She used a base coat (don't know the brand), then standard nail color (OPI? I can't recall). Then she used this SecheVite product as the top coat AND followed with OPI 'Drip Dri' a couple of minutes later. OMG, I have never been able to keep a manicure without ruining it somehow in the first 2-4 days being REALLY careful for the first 2 hours. This lasted me over a week! (Maybe 10 days?) on vacation (ok no dishes or housework) but going in the ocean / beach, or pool. You have to get both products to get my results. I bought this and the OPI Drip Dri after I got back from vacation. I took them both with me when I got my pedicure and added a manicure having her use these on me. I got the same results as on vacation :) While my manicure doesn't last quite as long when I do my own nails as when the salon woman does it, for me- they last longer - period.

FYI: the vacation gal said to give it 15 minutes (after the OPI drip dri) and I'd be able to reach into a purse, or do other things without it ruining my new manicure - she was right. I didn't try to dig a fingernail into the newly polished nail or anything like that, but it all stayed smooth.

I can't actually speak about the Seche Vite Dry Top Coat because when I ordered this, I mistakenly received the power duo pack that included a BASE coat (Seche Clear in a clear bottle) and a gel top coat (Seche Vive in a cobalt blue bottle). From the info on the product page I *thought* the pack I was ordering was two bottles of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, but it didn't turn out that way.

Sounds disappointing, right? Getting something completely different than you ordered. But ladies, let me tell you! I'm so glad it happened. The Seche Vive Instant Effect Top Coat (Seche Vive Gel Effect Top Coat 0.5 Ounce) is the best top coat I've ever used. I pair it with Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polish in the color Totem-ly Yours & my nails have never looked better. I can get up to two weeks wear, pairing the two together. It's crazy! The only downside is Seche Vive's smell. It's pretty major. Just make sure you're in a well ventilated situation and you should be good to go, though.

PS: I don't know if this seller is still errantly sending out the Power Duo pack, when you order, but if you are looking for a dope gel top coat with insane wear time, search out the Seche Vive Instant Effect Top Coat. You won't be disappointed. Oh, and as far as the Seche Clear base coat I received in the Duo Pack, it's okay. Nothing special. I'll continue to use it until it's gone, but I don't know that I would repurchase, as it performs no better or worse than all the other base coats I've tried.
