At last! A comfortable women's sock!

I bought some women's crews recently (size 9-11) and they were way too tight for my shoe-size-8.5-9 feet and moderately stocky build, and really dug into my legs at the band. So I took a chance on the small size of these, since I have bought men's 7.5 shoes and boots in order to get them wide enough. They fit great!! right out of the package, plenty of stretch without being too tight, the length is perfect. so if they don't stretch out too soon, i'm going to be very happy.
Good quality, decent cushion...

These are good standard quality socks. They definitely run small especially in the ankle section. I wear a size 12 men's average ankles and XL fits snug. Any bigger feet or large ankles will need a bigger size or another type of sock.

It's tough to find all white socks in a store these days. No wonder the big department stores are closing locations because they can't stock things people want to buy.
Doesn't quite work for a skinny lady's foot

These are really nice cotton socks. I bought them because it is so hard to find nice, thick women's crew socks now, and these come in a smaller size. But, they are still bigger around for a thicker foot. After washing and dying several times, they are too loose around my foot, a women's size 9, B width. The length is great, though. In the end, I found pretty nice women's crew socks at a Fleet Farm store.
First Impression...Socks, the way they used to be made

I have pretty much given up writing reviews since everyone gives everything 5 stars nowadays. In the last several years the quality of socks have taken a turn for the worse. They put poly, nylon and everything but Cotton in them and market them as "stay cool" or "dry fit". Bottom line is that only Cotton absorbs sweat and these hybrid compositions don't last. I have holes in socks after 3 months and worst of all is they make my feet sweat, especially at the gym.

I used to sell wigwam some 20 odd years ago and when I saw they made an 86% Cotton sock I decided to give them a try. At first impression these are well made socks that I am familiar with except for maybe a little looser and less costly weave. A large fits a 10 EE foot a little loose but being Cotton I should be OK. Most packaged socks are too tight anyway. So far when I run for an hour, these absorb sweat and prevent the dreaded athletes foot. For everyday wear these are soft and comfortable, well cushioned. If these socks last I will update and move rating to 5 stars.

Being USA made is a definite plus and the quality seems to show. My experience is all the other companies make their socks overseas and rather than raising prices they just make the quality cheaper and try to make them something they are not. This is the only socks I can find that are still 86% Cotton and stay up without falling down from poor elasticity. I know some are allergic to latex, but I don't have that issue so I will initially give them 4 stars. It's sad that quality has gotten so bad that I feel compelled to review my socks but hopefully wigwam keeps making a quality product
Size medium fits my size eight wide feet
Frank Harris✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 9, 2016
I bought one and then another three-pack of size mens medium for my mens size 8 wide feet. They were just a bit too snug at first, but after a couple of inside-out washings, the interior terry-cloth became less thick and now they fit perfectly and are comfortable. I've had them less than a month, so I can't review durability yet of this Wigwam Super 60 Crew 3 Pack Socks, White, Medium.

As others have said, one sock of each pair is all white and the other has a Wigwam logo on the sole, where it can't be seen it if you are wearing shoes or sandals. The logo is a thermal type of material, not a dye, and after about five washings and some rubbing with the edge of a butter knife, it is slowly wearing off. Some questioners were looking for all-white socks, and it seems that this logo can be slowly removed. Or if you buy several of them, you can match up pairs of all-white socks and pairs of logo socks.

The attached photos are of the new, unwashed socks. One is inside-out to show the interior.

I also bought one pair of Fox River Wick Dry Classic Crew Socks, White, Medium and they are much thicker.
