I purchased this because I wanted to hook up a garden hose to my closest supply, which unfortunately is my bathroom sink line. This worked to a T! Also, this would work for most people trying to tap into their kitchen lines for an ice maker, or for a bidet. I was thrilled the price on this was just right, and less expensive than some other brands. Solid, sturdy brass with perfect connections. no leaks, no frustration, just works exactly as I needed it to!
A great adapter to add another sink, faucet, dishwasher, icemaker, or toilet to an existing supply line. I just bought another

I'm not a plumber. In fact I can barely use a plunger. But with two of these gizmos (one for hot, one for cold) I was able to add a sink on the other side of a wall using these to tap into the existing water supply line. Basically it's a T adapter, a Tee adapter, or Y adapter. Different names for the same thing- they make one water supply line into two without cutting water lines, soldering, and using a bunch of skills I do not and probably will never have. A common use in a kitchen is to run a line from your kitchen sink water faucet supply line to an ice maker if your house wasn't plumbed for an ice maker, but this product is not limited to use in ice makers. I added a picture with the product installed so you can see where this attaches to the faucet supply valve under the sink. The faucet is connected to the top of the adapter and the line to the new faucet on the other side of the wall goes off to the left.
