Auto Fill Pool Filler

I saw a lot of auto fillers for my swimming pool and it was difficult to make the proper choice. I then saw the filler from Control Devices, LLC and decided on that particular one. I received it very promptly and was a bit surprised to see that it matched my old one exactly! It was really easy to change it out but it was a bit touchy on adjusting the float level, probably because I was working in a very confined space once it was installed. My old one was over 12 years old and I expect this one to last at least that long!

Works Well, Low Flow Rate and Slow Shut-off

I bought this as a replacement for another brand of float valve that I was having to replace about every 1.5 years in my backyard water feature. Hoping this one lasts longer.
It has a much lower flow rate when fully open than did the old 3/8" valve. The reservoir it controls is about 10 gallons. It takes about 3x longer to fill it with this valve. I took it off to make sure it wasn't plugged up somehow.
It also has a MUCH more gentle shot off than the old valve. Old one was like a toilet tank: filled quick and shut off abbruptly. This valve takes about 30 minutes to get the last gallon out because it slows down to a trickle and then a drip before it shuts off completely.
I suppose these probably don't matter for how I'm using it -- it just has to keep up with evaporation in the system.
Would be nice if this valve had a hex surface to grab onto when screwing in.

Good Replacement for MP Industries

Just received replacement valve, simple to install. Replaced an older MP Industries valve that looked identical. Arrived days sooner than expected. Happy with purchase. Will update if I run into any issues.
