Not the best for finish trim nailing.
Frumious•January 21, 2018
Works as advertised. Easy to handle. It earns 5 stars as a stapler, only 3 stars as a nailer. Why? Because the ram which drives in the nails is wide (necessary to be able to drive staples) and leaves a more visible indent compared to a tool that is just a nailgun. Accordingly I do not recommend this tool for finish work. Otherwise, its a fine tool.
... 2" brads and 1 1/2" staples multiple times in good cedar and both worked fine

Haven't used it on a job yet but have tested with both 2" brads and 1 1/2" staples multiple times in good cedar and both worked fine. I have other NuMax guns and am happy with their performance. For the price, it's an easy recommendation.
Great product

Purchased to complete siding on work shop and worked like a champ, very quiet and lightweight but feels well built and sturdy. The narrow crown works well for my purposes. Would buy from again and highly recommend.
Disappointed
Amazon Customer•August 17, 2017
I purchased the stapler to fasten 2 small sheets of 1/4" fiber cement underlayment on my bathroom remodeling project. This was installed on subfloors of 5/8 chipboard over 3/4" pine. I used 1.5" staples at 100# pressure. The stapler would drive 3 or 4 staples correctly and then the next one would not drive all the way down, projecting above the surface about 3/16". I tried unsuccessfully to adjust the settings and finally just dealt with the situation and hammered down the ones that did not drive correctly. I don't enjoy slamming a product but this was just a small job and it did not work properly.
it loads them only on one side of the nailer but the head that drives the nail in leaves a wide indent like it would push in an entire staple head

Works as advertised. Just be aware this is designed mainly for staples, so if you want to use a finish nail, it loads them only on one side of the nailer but the head that drives the nail in leaves a wide indent like it would push in an entire staple head. Small, light weight and did the job, just wish I knew it was mainly for staples before I bought it. If I were to buy another one, I would only get a finish nailer because that was all I needed for the job I was working on.
