If you are just looking for an inexpensive replacement, this is it. If you are trying to find something truly waveless, this is not! every time my BF moves, I wake up. He has to sleep all the way to one side or else I am sleeping on top of him or sleeping on a hill. And don't get me started on sleeping on this mattress while pregnant! It gave me a whole new meaning to the term "rolling out of bed". By month 7 I was sleeping on the couch. 6 months after baby was born and I'm still there because cosleeping on a waterbed is nearly impossible.
My BF on the other hand LOVES this bed. He has back, neck, and shoulder pains on a regular mattress but not from this. The motion doesn't bother him as he's a more sound sleeper than I and he loved all the alone time he gets in the bed since I've moved to the couch.
He says 5 stars, I say 3... We compromised at 4.
