My experience:

I use a 2% BHA nightly (PC brand) and have used acid peels annually in the past. My skin has built up a tolerance because of my regular use. Because of that, this bottle of 30% acid is not so much a "peel" as it is a "boost" for me. I could, in theory, use this a few times a week (at 2-3 minutes per time), following with an intense moisturizer and have no real peeling effect. As long as this is what I am expecting of this bottle - then great. For a person like me/with a similar routine, to get a peel that would mean having to take a few days off to shed like a snake in the privacy of one's home, a stronger peel would be needed OR I would need to leave this on for a longer amount of time and "layer" it up (as in, do a layer, wait, do another layer, wait, then neutralize).

Can this strength lighten dark marks and even out skin tone for a person like me even if I am not "peeling"? The answer is yes but it's not a big grand reveal like one might expect with a stronger peel. It can and will even out tone, but not super quickly. It's more of a gradual process and that is totally fine and honestly, the safer way to go (safer as is in, playing it safe with a busy schedule without time to sit at home and shed..not as in health-wise, although, if you're a newbie to peels, starting with a low(er) % and moving up is def. safer than starting high) to get results over time.

If you're totally unsure what to expect of this peel, set your timer for 20 seconds and then neutralize. Wait a couple days to see how that works for you. Don't curse the bottle if the first round "did nothing" but give it another go with a longer setting time a few days later. Experiment to see how your skin reacts and then decide if you want to build up from there (either in time or layers or both).

For me, I am a person who could use this acid in my regular skin regimen weekly and be fine with it while others might have to sit home and peel for a few days.

Everyone is different and when you take acid-based skincare into your own hands, the rule of thumb is: better to be safe than sorry. Start "small" until you find what works for you.

The concentration feels legit. Very strong. I only leave it on for 4 minutes at a time and I get a nice light peel (which is what I prefer).

Get rid of dark spots. Give yourself a medical peel. Do not use if you haven't built up a tolerance. Start at 10-20. That will sting.
So, keep a box of baking soda to neutralize the product. So remove product with soap (Neutrogena hydro boost) and water and if you can buy a hydrolonic acid because it penetrates deep into the skin. It's fantastic

I've used this product for years! If you've never used it start at the lower percentage (30) . Then work your way up. I use baking soda in cool water to splash and rinse the product off, it neutralizes the acid. Great for sun spots and fine lines.

I loved! The first time I used it I couldn't last more than 30 seconds, I waited for a week to pause and the second time I used it it was the same 30 seconds, the third time I managed to last a little longer, but it didn't reach a minute, in all applications the break time was 8 days, my skin suffered a little peeling, but it was magical how it worked for me, my skin became clearer, finer and more radiant, incredible! Taking this opportunity to talk about the vanilla bean frosting mask cream that came as a sample, wonderful, the smell immediately made me relax ☺ï¸. I used it before applying each acid application!
