I'm torn on this item. It gets cold- VERY cold- and stays cold for hours. I have fallen asleep with this in my bed, and found it still cold 8 hours later when I woke up. (Not resting on my skin all night to be warmed by my body temp.) It gets so cold that I have to wrap it in more towel than I'm used to having to do with crappy drugstore cold packs, and have even needed to let it sit out for a while to warm up a bit before I could use it.
I like that it has a bit of weight to it- it helps make/keep good contact on all parts of my back.
I love how flexible it is, even when extremely cold. That's a real stand out feature that most ice packs don't have in my experience. I might need to "work" it for about a minute if it's SUPER cold, but then it's amazingly flexible and pliable.
I have two issues, though. First, the instructions recommend that, when not in use, you store it in a plastic bag so it doesn't dry out. This is tough with the one I ordered because it's so large that it's awkward and bulky to get into a gallon sized ziplock. It doesn't fit great, but I don't have anything larger. It would be fantastic if the company included a durable plastic bag to store it in since it's their recommendation that you use one. Heck, I'd even buy something as an add on if they offered it. My other issue is harder to know how to handle. There's a lot of air in my ice pack. Like, it's about 1/4 full of air instead of cold pack material. I've stored it as instructed, so I don't believe it is drying out. If it is, then I'm disappointed because I've only had it for a few weeks. I'm also a little concerned about how thin the material is. I'll be using this thing nearly daily on the couch, in bed, at work, etc, and I'm nervous that it will tear or puncture easily. I hope I'm wrong on that count.
All in all, I'm impressed with this ice pack and I hope it holds up! Little annoyed by the amount of air in it, though.

If you have back problems, get it

This is a super ice pack, worth every penny. It's big enough to cover all the areas of my back that need it. And it's nice and soft after you knead it a minute. The cold lasts for hours, longer than it should be on a body part. Be sure and have a towel to put between yourself and pack; it's so cold you can't stand it next to your skin. I have an arthritic back condition and many days this is the only thing that helps.

Started going bro physical therapy finally for chronic shoulder tendonitis. Well long story short the ones they had there were cold enough to penetrate my hoodie and still feel good so I asked what they were called so I could buy one and it was this brand. Well assuming they were all the same just different sizes I bought the biggest one. TLDR it's not really any colder than the crappy stuff from Walgreens I wanted to replace. Maybe I should send it back and get the cervical one or something

Works great. Gets VERY cold and is very moldable to body. Doesn't have sharp edges that will cut you...but you need to wrap it in a towel when using anyway. Don't waste your money on the crappy things in the drugstore. It's a little on the heavier side but that helps add pressure to the area you're applying it to. I didn't think it was working at first thought but it was my freezer and i just moved it to the back and got much better results.
Indispensable for swollen, painful joints and muscles.

If I could, I would give the Torex cold pack six stars! I always had a bias against application of cold for pain relief until I bought this cold pack on the advice of my physical therapist. My husband and I found it to be absolutely indispensable for relief of pain and swelling after our shoulder and knee replacement surgeries. This cold pack molds beautifully to awkward areas of the body. We have two, so that there is always one on the ready in the freezer.
