It did not stay locked when the camera was moved into a vertical position. Nice idea, but it would shake and not stay steady.

This is a good product that is poorly assembled and poorly engineered. Because of that, a few modifications are necessary in order to make it a more effective tool. First, all of the fanteners should be removed and re-assembled using blue loctite. Before it sets, determine how stiff you want the rotating plate to be and tighten the nuts accordingly. After doing this I have had no issues with them coming loose. This should have been done at the factory. In addition, the unit does not balance so that it can stand up with a camera in it. This makes it difficult to set down during a gig. I made some legs for this out of aluminum and they solved that problem and look like they belong. Works well and serves it's purpose. Tends to make camera feel bulkey. of course this happens after adding so much to the original camera(battery pak, large lens, ect.)
