I use baking soda in my kitty litter boxes and sit open baking soda boxes in the room to help keep the 'kitty smell' away. I sprinkle baking soda in bottom of the box before adding the litter. It definitely helps. In my opinion, Arm & Hammer works better than other brands.

After freeze in Texas, pipes burst and we had flooding. We were doing a remodel in our bathroom and closet and had new cabinets in and I needed a way to make sure all the water got soaked up. Bet you didn't know this one. Yep, it works. I bought several boxes and put them down next to all walls that there was potential to leak or seamed wet. Some boxed within hours were soaked. But the cabinets saved. This works even if your a year or two late in getting to the problem. I have a friend who can testify to that. Smell and all. Works on pet accidents too.
