it won't be visible to your Bluetooth device whenever it feels like it. Other than that the radio
Amazon CustomerAugust 1, 2017
Disconnects from Bluetooth whenever it wants to. And a lot of times the Bluetooth doesn't even work period, there aren't buttons/settings to even unpair/re-pair a different phone or device. Additionally, it won't be visible to your Bluetooth device whenever it feels like it. Other than that the radio, gps, and installation is great. I mainly use it for linking my phone like most of us do here in 2017 but that part or this radio is trash.
Brings great sound out of the speakers

fits perfectly in dash. Plugs into existing brackets perfectly. Brings great sound out of the speakers. GPS is amazing. I just can't figure out how to change the green illumination to yellow to match the rest of the dash in my 4Runner.

On the plus side this unit is a plug-and-play replacement for the OEM radio in my 2003 4Runner. It has basic functionality and I like the GPS navigation and the backup camera features. There are a few quirks that should be pointed out:
This unit is LOUD. Setting 1 (the lowest other that mute) is plenty for me if the motor is off. I rarely turn it up above 5/6 (out of maybe 30) on the freeway. I may have to add an attenuator.
If you go into the navigation screens there is a second volume that allows you to lower the volume, but beware if you go back to the radio screen the volume will jump back; best to leave it on normal.
Occasionally, the USB volume drops to zero, and you can not change it - I have no idea why. Powering it off and back on fixes it but I'm not going to do that while driving.
It takes quite a few seconds to boot, especially to the navigation. It does this every time the key is cycled. Too bad it does not have a "sleep" mode to save the boot up time.
The paper manual is more or less a joke, but it is a direct plug-in for my OEM.
WMA music has problems, some files worse than others.
I wish I could rate it higher but with so many strange quirks I can't. Perhaps there is an OS upgrade that can fix some of these.

I purchased this item with the license plate backup camera. Installation documentation isn't all that useful and some of the labeling isn't great. But using youtube videos and some know how you can do this yourself. Probably the most difficult thing for me was locating the reverse power in the wire harness running along the drivers side seat. A few notes I give you that you will need to know. If you purchase their backup camera, the video cable is not long enough for a 4runner. You will either need to purchase a longer cable or extend the one they give you buy about 5 feet. Also you will need to purchase about 15 feet or so of 18-20 gauge wiring if you want a full line run from the from to the back for reverse power. This way you aren't doing 2 wire splices. Pickup a channel splicer for that power wire also. The main stereo/nav unit doesn't require any special installation instructions, just disassemble the dash, install the unit, and plug it in. You'll be good to go. Some buyers said that their stearing wheel controls work. Mine do not, I haven't done any trouble shooting on this yet. But ottonav stated they would help me trouble shoot this, but I haven't taken them up on it yet. So, I gave them 4 stars on this, not because I don't like the unit, but because I had to do some improvising, and they should know that their license plate camera doesn't fit a 4runner without extending the video cable. I mentioned it to them but they kind of ignored my suggestion. Also, they threw in my camera for free because my shipment was going to be late, so I give their customer service I high score also. All in all it was a pretty good experience.

Update: After working with Ottonav directly I got my steering wheel controls working. I have to manually program in my keys, but according to youtube video and support I shouldn't have had to do that. Just a note for any of you buyers that you might have to do that.
