Excellent Addition

Simple, but clever addition for us and our pool. We only have one inlet so can't have the vacuum AND the skimmer run - this achieves that result. Pool has never been cleaner. Easy install too.

It works pretty well and glad I bought it. It keeps your pool skimmer function working while the auto-cleaner cleans the bottom and sides. It has 3 settings but usually ended up using the higher settings only. The plastic cup in the center collects the larger debris allowing smaller particles through the tube into your pools skimmer. The only drawback I found was the cup inside isn't held in place. It sits in there and removes easily, but that also means if you don't pull it gently out of the pool it will flip and put the debris back into the pool and you will have to fetch the cup from the bottom of the pool. It doesn't tip over easily though, the blue water guides balance it quite well. It's only happened like twice in a few years time. It doesn't replace the skimmer on your pool though. It probably functions at about 1/5 of the cleaning level of your regular pool skimmer since it only allows small particles in, but while your auto-pool cleaner works you still get a skimming function.

This is great for screened in pools. My pool is very old and I have no vacuum port. This product adds a skimmer while I use my vacuum. My pool does not get leaves in it because of the screen. But it does have ants small bugs and dirt constantly on the surface. This product takes care of that and makes my pool care easier.
It doesn't remove relatively large leaves

I works well cleaning very small leaves and flower fragments ( pollen and seeds) but leaves as small as the ones of a ficus tree are left in the perimeter of the well and have to be removed manually and often so it can continue aspirating debris. It would be nice if it would allow to remove larger leaves (I have a leaf trap at the beginning of the aspirating hose)
