The Safari Canteen Adventure

Okay...I didn't read the reviews until after I ordered these canteens, go figure, right?
Well, the canteens w er e timely in their arrival and came packaged in one large plastic bag and within that bag, they were individually wrapped in plastic. So, I ordered these canteens for my 5 year old ' s Safari style birthday party at the zoo.
The canteens to me were well made for my intended use and of course 5 year old's.
The problem I encountered was the promotional image above was not representative of what I received. There was NO strap!!!! Actually, it would not have been a problem, if the image was reflective of what I would be receiving.
So, because time was not on my side, I had to go to Hancock Fabrics and purchase a lightweight strapping and sew a strap to each canteen. That cost me an additional $25 for these to work for me. Thank goodness for "home economics" in middle school. ..for many you know my age range...smile.
I did NOT receive any canteens that were leaking when I washed the them. What I did experience is two canteen that tops broken when they were unscrewed.
It was a hit with the party goers and we'll fitting for my theme!
