Let it dry overnight but wax still comes off very easily. Probably an issue with how i applied it

Somewhat difficult to use. Followed instructions on heating. Dipped a rag into liquid then applied it to hat. Doesn't really coat hat. It adds a block of dried wax to hat then I had to rub that wax and spread it to cover hat. Let it dry overnight but wax still comes off very easily. Probably an issue with how i applied it.
Great to add water repellent and classic look to dryduck hunting caps.

Worked perfectly, While i was concerned at first that the can was only 75% full when i opened it, there was plenty of wax to treat the 12 Dryduck hats that I was working on. Keys to applying the product: I followed instructions and heated the wax, in the can in a pan of water. I tried to apply with a paint brush but that was an epic fail. I ended up putting on a pair of nitrile gloves and just dipped my fingers in the melted wax and then rubbed on the hat. Once the hat was covered in a thick, waxy mess, I used a heat gun on low setting to melt the wax in to the fabric. I let the hat cool, then applied a second, liter coat and heated again. Hats look great! Could not be more happy with the product and once I figured out the easy way to apply, I was done in about an hour.
Very happy with the results. Great product! Would use again!

This is the first time I used this product. I have a 3/4 length Australian duster that was made for me by a friend when I spent three weeks just outside of Melbourne. The product went on easy . I melted it in a pan with hot water. I applied it with a 2 inch paint brush. Then I worked it into the canvas with a rag and a hot air gun. The coat is over 20 years old and it looks like new again. Great product
Works well, but is a bit tricky to apply

I used this for re-waxing part of a Barbour jacket.

Compared to the Barbour "thornproof" dressing, this is a much higher temperature wax. I found that it was hard to brush on while keeping it liquid - it would solidify on contact and not soak in. I used a heat gun / hair dryer to get the wax to spread, and worked it in with my fingers, which took a bit of effort, but wasn't too bad.

On the other hand, once the wax is on and spread out, it cures quickly to a matte finish. The Barbour wax seems to take several days (at least) to cure, and is pretty sticky and messy during that time. I get the impression (not based on experience), that the finish may be more durable than the Barbour wax, which seems to wear quite quickly for me.

I wore the coat in heavy rain a few days after I re-waxed it, and it performed well. Water beaded up nicely, and I stayed dry. The fabric remains pliable, and the wax doesn't appear to crack or discolor in areas that see a lot of movement.

If the melting point could be lowered a little, it would be easier to apply.
This works wonderfully for waterproofing canvas and re-proofing oilskin

Get out the elbow grease! This works wonderfully for waterproofing canvas and re-proofing oilskin. Keep it warm as you work, and work fast with a towel or rag, warm hands and a scraper, and you will have an old-fashioned waterproof item your great-grandparents might have worn. Not as hard to use as other reviewers made out. Be prepared, get creative, and this product works very well. Goes on thick, so work it out when it's warm. I used a butter knife when it was applied and still warm to scrape it into tricky spots the bar wasn't getting into. A painting knife would work too. It's a wonderfully tactile product.
