This is truly disappointing. I bought these to replace my OEM bulb which lasted 10yrs. I was excited to get brighter one and they were fine for 8months then one of them died on me. Reached out to company to get replacement which I got. Now on the second set and one dead again. These doesn't last long. Dont expect them to last more than 1yr.
Brightest halogen bulbs I have seen

Bought these to replace the stock bulbs on a 2012 Triumph Street Triple. These are very bright and inspire confidence when riding at night because I can see much further down the road. So far I am very happy with these bulbs. A lot of reviews here claim a short bulb life, I will update if I have a similar experience. Take care not to touch the bulbs when installing them, it will shorten the life of the bulb.
But I decided to take the plunge and was pleased. On low beam

My old fashioned, factory OEM died after 18 months. I was skeptical that the upgrade from OEM to these, or any other bulb in my 2005-vintage vehicle could make much difference.
But I decided to take the plunge and was pleased. On low beam, I think these are about as good as anyone could find unless one spends big bucks to get an LED or similar top of the line system. The high beams aren't quite as good, but still more than satisfactory.
I drive a lot on 40 mph rural roads and these are perfect for that.
Other comments have mentioned a short life expectancy. Maybe. It all depends on a filament that looks smaller than a human hair.
I'll be glad if Sylvania comes out with a "9007LED" that will work with the existing wiring, but unless and until then, I'm pleased with these, even if I have to suck it up and get replacements after 18 momths.

They're slightly whiter than "Standard' but with a vastly shorter life span (see pics for LED comparison)

The draw back to these bulbs is that their life span is only around a 100 hours, whereas the long life bulbs that came with your car have a life span in the THOUSANDS of hours. This especially becomes an issue if your car uses them a daytime running lights too. The reason the life span is so short is that to give them a whiter appearance they have to run the filament hotter but at the same wattage (Gov rules on the latter).
Of course they are not as white or as bright as LED bulbs. The photos below show a ULTRA bulb on the passenger side and a 4000 lumen LED bulb on the driver side; Given that the LED bulbs cost about the same the ULTRA's and are supposed to lost a lot longer, it may be more cost effective to switch to LED; BUT I'd have more confidence in that statement though if my household LED light bulbs weren't constantly burning out.

Guys!!! Absolutely worth this buy!! Please do not let reviews which talk about "shorter lifetime" deter you from buying this product!! It is night and day difference!!! Both me and wife could not imagine what we missed out on, by not having it all along!! Used it for two years, no degradation in qualilty, and very good range of vision!! Saving on a few dollars is not worth running into a accident, just because you could not see well enough!! DO not buying the standard bulb recommended by the manufacturer (in my case Honda)...
