Works Great
Drew from Long IslandMay 15, 2017
Great dolly. I use this to pull my utility trailer full of tools weighing over 1000 pounds with no problem. Very convenient and a major time saver when I just need to move the trailer a small distance.
I'd have given this a one star "I hate it" rating
Amazon CustomerApril 19, 2017
If I didn't own a drill press (to drill two holes the manufacturer forgot to drill in the handle), a couple of huge adjustable wrenches (to tighten the ball), and a pail full of nuts and bolts (to replace the too short bolts supplied), I'd have given this a one star "I hate it" rating. But once I had drilled the two required holes in the handle, found some suitable nuts and bolts, and dug out the big Crescent wrenches, I was able complete assembly of the dolly.

Previous reviewers are correct: the assembly instructions are useless and the tires smell bad. But the design (probably copied from a 60's vintage Popular Mechanics magazine) is sound and the dolly seems rugged enough for my purposes (which is just horsing a long but light boat trailer around the backyard). Maybe the tires will go flat in a week or two, but I don't see the frame twisting much with the loads I'll put on it.
Good dolly, but ball is mounted too low
The HeadhunterJanuary 12, 2017
Well-designed, solid materials, not to hard to assemble. I deducted two stars because the ball is too low and not adjustable. If your trailer hitch is high, you have to fumble with ways to raise the height of the ball end of this unit to mate to the socket on your trailer. I use pieces of wood to make a ramp to ride this up on to get it higher. This defeats the whole idea of using the long handle to lever the unit up and down to accommodate your trailer. Someone suggested adding big washers under the ball -- but you can't get enough of them on there to make a real difference. But it's good enough.
It was actually better built than I thought it would be

Works as advertised. It was actually better built than I thought it would be. Moves my combined 700lb trailer and 1100lb atv easily.
Great dolly

I bought this trailer after a lot of research of other dollies. For the price and what it was advertised to do, I thought it was a good deal.
It arrived in good shape. Although the instructions could have been a little better, it was easy to figure out to assemble. The dolly comes with a 17/8 in which is fine most small trailers. I have a 3 rail motorcycle trailer with a 2 in coupler. I used my own ball on it with little problem. The screw shaft is a little longer than the one that came with it, so I had to adjust the assembly a little. It all went together well and seemed very sturdy.
The test, of course is in the performance. I hooked the trailer to the dolly and found the trailer tires had sunk into the yard a bit. I was able to rock the dolly back and forth with the trailer on it and voile! The trailer came out and I was able to move around the yard with no trouble. It helps that the dolly has larger 12 inch tires.
I highly recommend this dolly for any trailer that has a tongue weight less than 600 lbs.
