Great pan! 2 boxes of cake mix for 1 hr. @ 350
Kim - Proud Waltons Fan! :)•October 15, 2017
Great pan - can reuse it for 9th bday as well! :)
I used 2 boxes of cake mix (choc & van and just poured both in and it came out like marbled) and cooked at 350 for an hour - in a greased and floured bottom and sides of pan, and it popped right out once cooled.
I thought the pan seemed enormous but it wasn't *that* huge - I fed 14 kids and their parents with a little leftover.

Quality is lacking but still a very good pan

I used 2 cake mix boxes for this #6 pan, it didn't get to the very top by the time it was finished so that was good (I was worried about possible overflow, but there was still an inch left when it was done). Flipping it over was where there was a problem. I greased it appropriately but where the '6' curves on the top it broke quite a bit. The edges are very rough in the interior of the pan - not as great of a quality as you'd think of hope for what you're paying. It would scratch you in certain areas of you ran your fingers through the pan. Anyway, icing "glued" the broken piece back on and it came out pretty good for my first attempt to make a birthday cake. Pan cleaned up well with no sign of use which is a huge plus. So definitely reusable over and over again. Will probably use it for my other son's 9th - haha!

Made two cakes with this for my kids b-day. Turned out amazing. Seemed to cook more evenly than my round cake pans. Loved using it. Just waiting til someone else turns 6 or 9 so I can use it again. Lol
Proper prep is paramount

Kinda wish it was non-stick, but it did the job. Be sure to grease and flour the whole thing. Also recommend lining the bottom with wax paper. Still, the "1" stuck pretty bad, but I didn't grease & flour it, I just lined it & sprayed it with non-stick. This pan will take at least 1 1/2 boxes of cake mix; probably a full 2 boxes. I split 3 batches between this "6" and the "1" pan.

Not sure how the tin work because when I received it, there was significant damage. It was bent and not usable. I returned it and will be ordering again since I need it for a birthday cake I'm making this month.

I re-ordered the tin and it was usable. The cake turned out great!! I didn't measure the batter per say before pouring it in the tin because I made enough for the #1 as well. It did run over but it was no big deal. These tins are absolutely the best especially if you are not good at carving the numbers yourself. I recommend these to anyone. Here are a few pictures!
