Catastrophic failure due to poor design and materials!

I purchased this in October. I noticed that it has more "give" than I expected and that consequently I had to re-tighten the bolts several times, but unfortunately I did not anticipate the bolts failing. Two days ago I was doing a pull up when the whole thing fell apart. On falling to the floor I mashed my toes, hit my knee and hurt my back. Yesterday I had an x-ray to see if one of my toes is broken. Once the pain subsided I inspected the bolts and saw that several had sheared off! I believe the design and/or materials used are faulty and inadequate and would never again trust this brand!!!

I bought this pull up bar for 2 reason it fits on my molding over the door and it fits my extra wide doorway.

The color scheme wasn't best to me but this was something i knew before buying.
Took me about 10 minutes to put together it was not very difficult i recommend getting another alan wrench ready for tightening as they only supply one and some of the bolts require tightening.
Usage wise I love this bar since it is wider i can do wider pull ups. It helps that i have wide shoulders though. I think you should definitely give this bar a buy if you are looking for something for larger doorways!
One gripe I have with the pull up bar is that it feels a little flimsy on the door. I had a 15 dollar pul up bar and it felt a little better on the door a little sturdier but overall i am happy.

The product I got is not the same as the one shown here! One of the biggest reason I bought this bar was because unlike it's competitors, it had padding across the entire bar. Guess what? IT DOESN'T!!! Not only that, but the padding that it does have seems pretty skimpy. It also doesn't have as many screw holes for adjustability. It looks like they updated the product but not the product descriptions. After hearing great things online about this pull up bar with endorsements from third parties, it just turned out to be a big disappointment. I won't be buying any products from this company again.

I have a similar pull-up bar but without the padded door trim supports. That old pull-up bar never feels sturdy in the door way, and it always pulls on the horizontal trim above the door, making me fear that it's going to rip the trim off the door and I'll tumble to the floor. The Perfect Fitness pull-up bar is a notch above in terms of quality feel and appearance. It's beefier than my other pull up bar and for whatever reason, I haven't heard so much as a creak from the horizontal door trim since using the Perfect Fitness pull-up bar. I'm 215 pounds which is just under the advertised weight limit, but like I said before, it feels very sturdy and I'm confident it could hold a lot more weight. The padded trim supports on the sides make a big difference because not only do they noticeably take care of any pressure points on the vertical trim, but they also push the bar out farther from the doorway, giving your elbows more room to spread out as you pull-up. I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase and this is the only pull-up bar I would recommend to anyone looking to do pull-ups at home!

It's been a quarter of a year now since my boyfriend and I got the fitness multi-gym and it still is used every single day. My boyfriend absolutely loves it and his arms have gotten significantly bigger due to all the workouts. It's so easy to do a couple pull-ups in passing, and then a couple more later. By the end of the day you've gotten a pretty decent workout!
