Didn't work for me
TIM•October 16, 2017
This will only work with your Centurylink DSL if Centurylink is your Internet Service Provider. The modem has preset parameters that can't be changed. Check with your ISP for their required settings.

It works. One of two modems for Centurylink's VDSL network, and being the lesser of the two, it certainly shows at times. Pros being it automatically reboots periodically. Cons being it randomly reboots periodically.
great units.

this was to replace the same model modem I have had for years. Having trouble with the internet, replacement seemed to be the answer, it was not. I have since solved the problem so now have and older perfectly good C1000A and also a brand new one. These modems seem to last for many years. I'm very happy with these units and will someday find someone that needs my extra one.
Good once going

It's fussy to set up, though a good modem once you finally get it working. It wants https to connect remotely without an ethernet cable and it has to have the setting to allow that enabled. I found an obscure reference that internet explorer was the best browser to try and interface with it.
Bought used, it was so easy to activate

I bought it used. It's a very robust product that you don't really need a new one. You activate it then you're going to leave it there to collect dust but still running. It was so easy to activate. I connected it to centurylink. I printed out the instructions on how to setup your modem from centurylink website. Just have your account number ready. it initially asked me for a phone number but centurylink associated a random phone number to our account. You'll have other options to activate it, i used the account number and zipcode option. That's it. Saved myself about ~$60 buying used. It was described as "Very good". There were a lot of scratches at the bottom. It was also missing the green wire to connect to the phone jack. I got a spare one so that was quick fix.
