Don't use Soap and Water

Use one of these to clean your cast iron when done. If you can clean it warm, everything will loosen even better. I do not like to use soap to clean, and if so just a pinch (or use something abrasive like baking soda, etc to help scrub. Quick rinse, dry, and then make sure you oil it back up before putting it away. Cast iron if not seasoned can take a good scrub to clean, but you need something like this (or a grill brush) to do that, this is a lot easier on your cookware. Once you have a good seasoning, it won't take much if any scrubbing at all to clean up. In my reviews most of them are highly rated as I look for what I need, prior to buying, and are based on that fact (price/requirement/use). I've not had to contact the seller for any issues or claims, however would not hesitate to purchase this product, or from this seller again.

Simply put, this assists in cleaning of any and all types of cast iron. It's been a great asset as I primarily cook with cast iron. Great size and I believe it's important that it is all chained together at the top with an o-ring of the same material so I can hang it when not in use. No complaints.

So I bought a cast iron pan against my wife's wishes. Now she loves the dang thing and is pretty much the only pan she'll use. But cleaning was a hassle. Bought the chain mail on a friend's suggestion. Makes cleaning so much easier and faster. Still use it today with no issues.

I like to use this type of product on my cast iron pots and pans along with common salt. I have one product with the steel mesh that is covering a rubber pad for additional strength and ease of use. This product is just the steel mesh and is accurately described in the product description. I think I prefer the one that has the rubber pad underneath as it is easier on my hands. But this product is great for getting into corners and tight spaces on the pots and pans. It does absolutely no damage to the cast iron. A little salt for some "grit" and a water rinse.
This type of item is an absolute must for cast iron users. I highly recommend this type of product.
