I really wanted to like this one

I really wanted to like this one. I've owned a lot of two-channel integrateds. From vintage Marantz to Yamaha to NAD and also new models like the Rogue hybrids and even the Cambridge CXA60 - and really was hoping this one would be a keeper. Problem was - it just never worked properly. It came out of the box with the volume knob off. Within a week - no sound was going to the speakers. I'm not sure what's going on with Cambridge these days - but this one was just a sheer disappointment. When it did play, the sound was just fine. Nothing really behind it, pretty vanilla - no get up and go what-so-ever. You also had to turn the volume knob a good full turn to get a decibel or two raise.
Oh well. I guess it's back to NAD, Rogue, or Parasound. Or even a nice Yamaha A-S1100.
Hope this helps!

This integrated amplifier is a beast...no problems no shortcomings worth mentioning. It can handle any speaker with ease and poise and drives my KEF R300's like a champ and has done the same with others in the past. Built like a tank and has been the work horse in my system for 2 years. People who have had issues must have gotten a lemon...unfortunately this happens with every brand. Cambridge Audio makes a fine product at a reasonable price. I don't have any experience with their customer service so I can't comment on that
