Easy to use (yes you have to manually light it). Flames on mine do not go anywhere near as high as in picture. Realistically about 1/2 to 1/3 that high. I actually see very little difference between High and Low settings. I use low to make the gas last longer. I have not actually ran it enough to give an idea of how long a tank will last. Item is well built and I like the large lava rocks it comes with. Includes 3 sizes of lava rock. I purchased mainly for camping but find I use it at home rather building a wood fire.

Very nice fire pit. Puts out quite a bit of heat for such a small unit. I'm going to make an enclosure for it so it will look better on our patio. It does put off a very nice Flame if you follow the directions. As with most stuff I buy on Amazon I go by reviews and the reviews on this were great and it is great.

Out of the box (not a lot of usage yet) this is ideal for home and camping. Portable, sturdy, easily lit, bright/powerful flame...it has it all. Placed it on a deck surface and the area beneath the pan is cool after 1 hour of usage. We intend to use w our Airstream camping, as well as at home. O

Love the propane campfire set! In our area there are frequent campfire bans in the summer due to risk of forest fire so we thought our campfires were a thing of the past until we found the Heininger 5995. JUST the right size for a nice fire and never banned at National or State Forrest lands. Only upgrade we would suggest is a carrying bag for the fire ring and rocks so it is easier to pack. A slightly longer hose would be nice as well.

These gas logs work great! They are easy to put together, you basically just place the lava rocks on fire pit and you're done. Hooking up the tank was super easy. You will need a lighter to ignite the flame since there is no built-in igniter. To me that is no big deal because they always wear out pretty soon anyway. It puts out a good amount of heat and we were quite surprised as we used it for Thanksgiving, and the extended family sat around it on our deck. We have a wood fire pit but this is so much more convenient and easy, not to mention the lack of the smell of smoke in hair and clothes.
