These are Amazing Pads at an Amazing Price and Saved My Kitty!

I bought these disposable pads for my geriatric cat who just turned 21 and has pain in her joints so has a hard time getting off my bed to use her litter box. After a couple of unfortunate accidents on my bed I came up with the idea of putting disposable puppy pads on the corner of my bed. I also have a larger washable pad underneath just in case she misses or these leak but so far they haven't leaked at all so this has worked out very well.
The idea of making part of my bed her litter box wasn't ideal but when she started peeing on my bed my only other option was to have her euthanized, which I wasn't prepared to do, so I had to figure out a creative solution, and this has worked out better than I expected. These pads are super absorbent so seconds after she pees it has been absorbed, and after a few minutes, it's absorbed so deeply you can't smell urine at all, which was my biggest concern, so in some ways it is actually better than a litterbox.
The pads don't smell in the trash either, even after a couple of days, once these pads absorb the urine the odor is completely neutralized. These pads are truly amazing and you can't beat the price. I bought some pads at a local Petco first and a package of 40-pack of 24x24 inch pads cost me $35, and this would have made using these pads cost prohibitive for me, so finding a 150-pack of 22x22 inch pads for $23 was amazing. The slightly smaller dimension didn't matter at all and I think the quality is better than the pads I got at Petco too. The Petco pads didn't neutralize the odor of the urine as completely as these do. I have migraines so I am very sensitive to smell and you literally cannot smell any urine at all once these pads have absorbed it, and it only takes a matter a minutes for the urine to be completely absorbed.
I'm so grateful since I've always been able to allow my pet babies to die in peace at home, and Hemma's been my best friend for twenty one years, so I couldn't bear the thought of euthanizing her, and now I don't have to!

Save your money - WORTHLESS!!

I don't often write a really bad review, but this product deserves one. I got "sucked in" by the "AKC" brand - total mistake. Frankly, plain old newspapers would work better than these; they DON'T absorb, they DON'T hold "liquid," they're very thin, and the back may as well not even BE there because "liquid" from my dog (4 lb Chihuahua) goes right through them, even DOUBLED up! They aren't worth my time to even return them, so they're going out in the trash. I should have never left Kirkland brand - they're SUPER and inexpensive.
Don't waste your money or time ordering these.

Just not good enough.

I was hoping to love these, as they're cheaper than what we otherwise use, but they're not really worth it. I bought them in lavender (like my usual brand), & though the packaging did indeed say lavender there was no scent at all. While annoying, this was no deal-breaker, but these pads are too thin, too flimsy, & just not great overall. My puppy is ~4 lbs & these pads couldn't handle more than two goes before needing to be thrown away, which is unacceptable for my use & the price, which simply isn't cheaper enough than my usual brand to make the switch. Could be useful as backups or short-term use.
Naughty cat...great pad.

I have an old naughty cat who won't use the box...especially when I leave town and she has a cat sitter. The cat sitter is amazing; the cat is kind of vindictive, but...she's 23 years old, so I have to deal with it. So...I always have a pad in the "˜current' corner of the room she sleeps in, and it works out really well with these pads. I've tried other pet pads from Pet Smart and Walmart, but they don't seem to hold the urine...it just pools. This pad holds the urine and it doesn't leak through. I wish they were larger. I can't imagine a big puppy being able to use this. I also have to put these beside the cat box...another favorite place to pee...despite the fact that she can open cabinets, jump up on tables, etc...she does not make the extra effort to get into the box. These are a life saver..hers..haha. Just kidding. I imagine some might be thinking she's incontinent or has a bladder infection, kidney problem, etc.. we've had the urinalysis and blood work done, and it appears to be behavioral. Two years ago I inherited her with her six "˜siblings', and I think she just wants a lot more attention...mainly sitting in my lap all day, which I don't have the time for. My mother did. Oh well. Glad I found these pads:)
Great Pad for the price!

As of right now, these are my absolute favorite training pad for my pup. I ordered the X-Large and put them on IRIS Regular Puppy and Dog Training Pet Pad Holder, Blue, which means that the pad is "too big" for the holder. However, I have a male beagle who, for whatever reason, likes to aim at the edge of the holder, and I find that giving him a bit overage helps combat his aiming.
They do well with soaking his urine, and only when he's peed more than once on the pad do I smell it. The pads don't gel like Hartz Home Protection Unscented Odor Eliminating Gel Dog Pads - 50 Count, but I don't like for my pads to gel since my dog never uses the whole pad; and I'm able to sort of "fold" the access pad over to clean the corners of the holder. ( I use Comet Bathroom Cleaner Spray - 32 oz - 2 pk to clean the edge and the bottom of the holder since bleach is a base and urine is an acid. I like that it neutralizes the smell of urine enough that my dog doesn't mind going in the same place - he has a Beagley nose and is very selective.)
All and all, for the price point, and the amount you get, these pads are absolutely amazing!
