Very fun Sonic game

This game is great especially for the price. I remember purchasing this game 10 years ago on the iPod touch and it is still just as fun now 10 years later. My biggest complaint is the touch screen controls, I tried setting up my Bluetooth controller but didn't have any luck. The touch screen controls are not the best and at times I either die or lose many rings because of the touch screen controls. You can get used to the bad controls and play through the game it is very fun and has a variety of level types that make use of the accelerometer. Getting the emeralds is really hard with this controls and I ended up finding a save file online and using it which had all the emeralds unlocked for me. So with all the emeralds you are able to turn into Super Sonic which is a plus and makes the game that much more enjoyable. To me it feels like a cross between Sonic 1, Sonic 2 and modern Sonic. The graphics are very pleasing and the transformation into Super Sonic is very rewarding.
Good Job Sega!!

This game is absolutely fantastic and works great!! Sonic has finally started to get the treatment he deserves on both console AND mobile! Sonic The Hedgehog 4: episode I plays just as well has his 16 bit bretheren of the past!! He now has the homing attack as well which helps enhance the gameplay and has been modified for 2d use perfectly!

Only a few issues keep this from being 5 stars though... one would be the controls... i know it's not exactly Sega's fault, but the two virtual control sticks are very frustrating - you can lose place of where your thumbs are at and easily lose control of sonic. The amount of resources it uses should be revised in my opinion, as it DOES drain the battery easily.

Overall, this game is great and is a perfect example of how 2D Sonic should work in a modern world!! The controls may be slightly frustrating but when you get used to them, the game is absolutely fabulous!!

🔹🌊🌀🌀The running animation barely happens
And super sonic seems pretty scared
Hope these work in the near future, other than that, I find this game pretty fun! 🌀 🔹
Sonic Rips Through The Kindle!

It's pretty cool to be able to play this title on the Kindle Fire and I have to agree with a fellow reviewer in that it was also sort of unexpected. The graphics are pretty and Sonic's usual brand of speed remains intact. I also like how the levels actually rotate 360 degrees when Sonic runs through a loop-de-loop. The game can also be ajusted for either touch controls, giving you a touch joy stick and jump button on the screen, or tilt controls, the difference being that the touch controls are more mainstream while the tilt controls can take some time to master. The tilt controls are automatically used for the special stges though, but that's fine because it works perfectly. It adds a little more challenge to those stages although I have managed to score a Chaos Emerald. I recommend the touch controls since they are easier to use and are really all you need in order to play. This is hours of fun on your tablet and/or Kindle Fire and is highly recommernded for hard core Sonic fans. My only complaint is that the touch controls could be a little less sticky so I'm giving it four stars out of five. This is a lot of fun though so it's definately worth a try.
