It's really cute and happens to match the Fisher price kick and play piano perfectly! My son sleeps on it just fine (and on day one!!!). He is only 3 months old, but this size works best (newborn ones are way too small). My only complaint is that it's just a pillow filled with cotton (and kind of flimsy). I can see it getting out of shape FAST once he spits up on it and it needs to be washed. I will come back once he's been using it longer to post if it helps his flathead out!

Very good material and soft too.. I brought this to use as a pillow for my 2 month old, but it is quite large for my baby. Hence will use when she gets a little bigger. It can also be used for tummy time until then.

My son came home from the hospital with a bit of a flat head so I purchased this to avoid any further flattening. I used this regularly from when my son was a newborn to about 5 months of age (which is when I moved him into the crib from his co-sleeper). I found that in his crib he moved around too much for it to be safe for him to use. The material for the pillow is velvet and feels very soft. Both sides have the dip in the center so you can use either side though the lion is only on one side. I used to put a burp cloth over the pillow for his spit up so it didn't stink. I did put the pillow in the wash and it misshaped it a bit but overall held up. Washing it cold and tumble dry should work. Overall this pillow did help to avoid further flattening but I was only comfortable using it when my son was younger and did not turn and twist around much.
We put her on her sides and changed sides and she does a lot of funny time when she's awake

Used this pillow when my baby was about 1.5 months and strangely her head for flatter at the back because in the hole where the back of the head lands, it is flat and I think because of the pillow, she could turn her head and could only face upwards, this having the back of her head smacked flat. I read that it could be washed and washed it, but the filling inside shifted around and the pillow became lob-sided. I've stopped using it a since and she's 4 months now and the back of her head is no longer flat. We put her on her sides and changed sides and she does a lot of funny time when she's awake. Perhaps it's not for newborns but I wouldn't recommend this pillow based on my experience.
