I have a red/black/white kitchen. Our little Rat Terrier's stainless steel water bowl has always been in the narrow space beside our old fashioned, white 1950's stove. When I saw this black and white "toilet" water bowl I just thought, perfect! Jack was unsure of it, at first. But now that he realizes it's his water bowl, he drinks from it. I'm sure we--and our friends--think it's much funnier than Jack does! One thing, though, the bottle in the tank thing didn't work for us--water went everywhere. So I just fill it up as I did his prior water bowl. I think it holds about three cups of water, plenty for Jack, but if you have a larger dog or more than one, you'd probably have to refill it more often.
The cat LOVES having her own toilet, thank God she only drinks out of it!

My cat loves this thing (see my pic's ), I think she really thinks she's drinking out of the toilet, which by the way...she leaves the other toilets alone now that she has her own small convenient one. People are complaining about the fact that it's porcelain, I just lean mine against our kitchen cabinet for stability...it's been there for months now and is solid, I actually prefer that it is porcelain. It is easy to clean, it holds alot of water (I have only had to top the bottle once every couple weeks), I think it is a riot to watch her, the first few times she used it, she looked around to see if she was gonna get in trouble, now she loves walking up and taking a long cool drink out of her own toilet lol! I believe this will definitely outlast my cat, it is solid, looks authentic except for the 2 liter bottle ticking out the back...I may try to build a smaller bottle with a top to make it look even more authentic. We love it, the cat stooped drinking out of the other toilets in the house and only drinks out of this one.

I haven't yet found the perfect bottle that fits it. Plastic soda bottles are the right size but too flimsy to work well, collapsing as the water comes out. And glass equivalents don't really fit but lean a bit. It really should come with the right sized bottle.

Got it for a Boston Terrier who immediately started drinking from it. She looks so cute! Came extremely well packaged and contrary to what I had read, has NO leaks. Knowing that a plastic bottle would collapse, I used a GROWLER glass jug. A Growler is the jug they fill right from the tap at beer breweries so you can take the beer home with you. Had to trade out the metal cap for a plastic one and drilled a small hole through it. It is easy to attach the full jug (of water) to the toilet with no spills. Rated it one less star because I had to find a bottle to fit it. I just ordered another one for my Chihuahua!

Smaller than I thought and didn't come with a bottle. The air pressure crushes the bottle as it comes out and it doesn't always stop the water from over flowing because it isn't a great seal. Cat likes it. Dog still prefers the real toilet
