Nice BARREL, bad SHAFT, but its a nice product from UNICORN

I robin hood the shaft so I changed the setup of the sigma, and it works fine to me, the only issue here for me is the shaft, once you've robin hood it, time to say BYE to your sigma shaft, but I love the barrel so much, I use a HARROWS GRIPPERS 360 SHAFT black/clear and a HARROWS CARBON STANDARD FLIGHT, works like magic! Must try and I recommend this dart pins!
Not that durable. Ruined within 6 days of use

Very similar results tonone of the reviews above. I was very impressed with the darts intially. They flew true and stepped up my dart game immediately. Within 6 days of throwing these i had multiple problems. All 3 carbon shafts had split and no longer hold the flight correctly, and 2 steel tips had separated from their respective carbon nose cones. Otherwise great darts and would purchase again if Unicorn chamged their carbon manufacturing process a bit to improve durability.

Excellent / BUT the Carbon fiber still IS BRITTLE ?

LOVE these darts - quality - of most pcs is very very nice. GREAT feel and weight. Detail is excellent. BUT - on my 5th game I noticed one of the flights was loose. Not that uncommon - except in this case the CARBON FIBER shafts - that they go on and on about in their site - researching since the 80's so they are not brittle and won't crack........split about a third of the way down from the flight. See picture. I Registered these ( they have a S/N :) online with Unicorn before I ever used them. I E-mailed them last week about this - and have heard no reply. Not what they were advertised to be - specific to the CARBON FIBER not being brittle. Otherwise absolutely the nicest set of darts I have owned in 20 years !!Hopefully they will resolve this for me.
nice but ...

Bought and received a set of those about two days ago. The darts are real nice, and look like sci-fi weaponry. More seriously, they are well balanced and zip through the air giving a real sense of precision. I found that pear shaped flight work a little better for me than the ones supplied with the darts.
But the darts are very fragile: in two days of use I have split the three carbon shafts that came with the darts, plus two of the spare set I bought. I cannot blame the darts' design itself, but the poor choice/quality of the material used.
Also, the dart point came out of the carbon nose cones on 4 out of the 6 nose bits provided!!! Although the problem is solved easily by re-fitting the points using a little glue, this is simply unacceptable in my opinion, and very disappointing from Unicorn to have such low quality manufacturing.
In short what you get for the price is a nice barrel. But I would not recommend buying those because of low manufacturing quality/materials on the cones and shafts.
NOTE1: The carbon dust generated when screwing and un-screwing the shaft and nose cones, is very toxic! I personally am extremely careful not to inhale it. This should be stated somewhere in the product packaging.
NOTE2: The thread on the carbon nose cones, simply wears out upon impacts because the tolerance (between the barrel thread and the nose thread) are way too loose. The nose simply comes off the darts and cannot be screwed again. Unicorn has not thought the carbon stuff thoroughly, and/or have chosen low quality composite material that is way too friable for the intended use. This is a design fault.
NOTE3: I am running out of stars to remove ... one of the nose cone split in half (after the dart bounced off the board). Should definitely stay away from carbon and re build those darts with Ti nose and shafts.
