Great tuner!
Some Random Dude✓ Verified PurchaseMay 18, 2017
I bought this as a replacement for my old one. The screen cracked on my old one. :( I love this device though, so I bought a new one. Aslo ordered a case for it so it could stay safe. I play all sorts of brass and wind instruments and it works great on all of them.
This is a very good Tuner. The problem is the owner's manual
Sivadasan Madhavan✓ Verified PurchaseMay 9, 2017
This is a very good Tuner. The problem is the owner's manual. It is written by someone with no clue how to tell others to use the instrument. They assume the users are all experts in instrument tuning. After many trial and guessing, I figured how to use it and get my drums tuned properly. The instrument helped once I learned from the internet how to use it.
Korg never lets me down

Very nice--a great, easy-to-use tuning tool for my young cellist (son)--it shows him, with his "as-of-yet-not-well-developed" sense of pitch, how far away he is from the note he is trying to play (or tune). As a professional musician, myself, I turn to Korg for everything electronic I (or anyone I'm buying for) needs--and those of us out there who know Korg's history surely won't be surprised by that. I docked it one star only because of an advanced feature that isn't very "intuitive" to me, and I've not yet had the inclination to figure it out for my son.
KORG with Calibration is all you'll ever need

I thought my KORG tuner from 20 years ago was the best, I still have that one too. They both have Calibration, & anolog style needle action.
This unit has more, but most importantly, it is Back~Lit, that's a biggie to me. You can tune any instrument with this unit, without ever having to plug it in, it's mic is better than my 90s model. I just lay it on my amp if I'm playing an electric bass or guitar. This one stays home & only I use it. My 20 year old has been all across this great country of ours & it's been passed around like a cigarette during bike week. I take my Mandolin on road trips because it's hard case fits nicely into the bottom my gym bag. I wouldn't tune it with anything other than a KORG Tuner.
I do rhythm rock guitar so.....

Those cheap trapezoid looking metronomes make me sick. I'm no pianist/legit musician, I'm into classic rock/heavy metal. So looking at those dang things looks like some kind of unsolvable riddle with no hints. I want to set the Bpm with no adagio moderato Beethoven piano language. So they made it simplified, made an audible beep, added a headphone jack, and on top of all that a pretty good tuner. It's so simple a caveman can use it.
