We were recommended this product to kill thistle on our cabin property! It's the first year we've been rid of this evasive plant !!

We (and much of East Tennessee) had a huge infestation of "creeping buttercup" in Spring 2019 that is injurious to horses if ingested. We did our research and Milestone was perfect for the situation. Once dry, it is not harmful to animals and if ingested, is purged from their systems in 3 days.
The buttercup died quickly and seemingly melted into the soil over 2 weeks. The only areas requiring reapplication were those I missed the first time around.
At $90/qt, this stuff is not cheap, but God, is it effective. Next time the buttercup shows up, there is nothing better to get.

I bought Milestone after seeing a youtube video produced by the University of Hawaii showing how a few drops will kill gigantic albizia trees. I drilled a hole into the tree, added a few drops of Milestone and within a few days the tree lost all its leaves. A few days after that and it was clear the tree had died. No sprouts or suckers have come up.
I have read articles showing that the effective ingredient never really goes away so anything that has been treated with Milestone should be considered hazardous waste. For example, anything poisoned with Milestone can never be mulched and added to a garden because it will cause deformed vegetables.
For that reason, this product should be used sparingly and judiciously. I wish it was available in smaller quantities because this big jug is expensive and is literally a lifetime supply for my useage.

Recommended by local scientists, the chop and drop method works like a charm. Leaves drop in a week, branches months later, and the sprouting roots are killed, too.
This is an excellent, persistent herbicide.

I bought this for Japanese stiltgrass and applied it this fall; I will update in the spring when I can judge the results. It is a persistent auxin herbicide (group 4) so Composters will hate on it, but it is labelled for use up to water's edge and my weed problem is along my creekbed.
