Disappointed in this slicer

Disappointed in this slicer. This review is written two years after purchase. In two years we have gone through four wires. The old Thick and Thin slicer it replaced lasted over three years and it was much less expensive. I also found the plastic piece at the top moved so that the wire twisted around the stainless rod making it hard to slice cheese at all. If you tighten the top knob to stabilize the wire it breaks that much sooner.
Far and away the best.

I love this slicer, it is taught and adjustable. Unlike the fixed wire slicers I have had in the past this slicer has a screw-type adjustment that allows you to tighten the wires! Cuts clean and performs better than expected.
We are buying some for family members! Highly recommend!

This is our SECOND one. Don't worry the first one still works... this one is a gift for a family member! I think the best cheese cutter EVER. SUPER easy to use and clean. It has both thick and thin slices w/o any adjustments. I've tried more expensive and "fancy" ones, but they require more cleaning, are more bulky, or just don't work (and returned). I highly recommend this one!

Great cheese slicer. First used at a friends house then asked her where to get one because I liked it so much. Bought the extra wires because they say they break occasionally but have had no problems. We use it all the time and it is smooth and handy to use.

I've gone through a half dozen of the typical roller type cutters with a broken wire rendering the whole device useless every time. This design is brilliant. It works well; just take your time in slicing it through the cheese instead of trying to force it. The two sides allow for two different thicknesses. Replacement wires (I haven't needed one yet) are readily available and easy to replace. Want to clean it up? Just toss it in the dishwasher.
