So convenient and sturdy! i lost a stovetop pan a while back and since i have an iwatani portable stove already I got this add-on. Works like a charm. love that there is a grid engraved on it so it's easy to cut through the takoyaki batter and therefore easier to grill! can't wait to try out other sweet recipe too. and i can even make it outside if i want too yay!! LOVE.
Now I can save money making takoyaki at home

Very nice design! I posted on FB and my friends asked me where I bought it. I told them to wait for me trying the pan out first.
I love how fast the heat transfer and easy to wash.
What I love MOST is I have a gas stove and the pan sit on rack nicely and secured with all 4 corners! This is what I haven't thought of. The grid lines helps a lot on dividing the batter evenly into each cavity.
It is my first time making takoyaki and I am very confident my 2nd batch will be perfect since I am pretty much got a good idea how to flip the balls around and how long to cook them.

Great Takoyaki Pan

I've made Takoyaki several times since purchasing this. It works great! Just put a little bit of oil in each one and brush it along the tops as well, it makes for a much easier spin. It says to only use with a specific burner, but I use mine on a flattop electric stove and it works great. Definitely worth the purchase! I'm sure it could be washed in a dishwasher, but it's really easy to wash by hand with the non-stick coat. I imagine using a dishwasher might deteriorate the non-stick coat over time.

This might be a better choice than the electric ones if you have a butane stove, which you can get for like another 10-20 bucks. Yes you need to buy gas too. Good thing is, you probably have better contorl on the heat than those electric ones.
It will takes a few tries to get the heat right still, or else you might burnt it a bit but I think that just take practice. It's part of a cooking skill. This is not a magic machine.
Product is easy to wash and it's got some sort of locking mechanism onto the gas stove so it doesn't move around. Pretty nice design.
I am trying other recipes like wrapping cherry tomatoes with bacon and stuff in each slot with cheese. Or bake some escargot with mashed potatoes. So yes, use your imagination, and have fun with it.

It is a nice size and is very hard

It is a pan/grill thingy. It is a nice size and is very hard. You will need to give it a pounding to make it have a dent or scratch. Also, be very careful then its hot since I burnt myself when i tried to pick it up.
