9 of 11 failed. One separated the head from the body. On several, the threaded part separated from the body, so there was nothing for the screw to pull. For the rest, the threads simply stripped without mushrooming the body.
I have used this style of anchor before, and never had problems like these. I bought these because they were much cheaper than the other manufacturers'. I have started the return process, and have ordered a more expensive anchor made by Simpson. (I read a review of one Hillman model that described exactly the problem I had with these, so I decided to shy away from those.)
This is a swell style of anchor, but this model should be a bit less cheap.
