The screws won't fit through the holes, even using a drill with a hex head bit. Why don't sellers do quality control!?!
Update-Amazon corrected this, sent a new base and I was able to put it together. Being tall I love the height, it has lots of hanging areas, coats on the large pegs with hats and gloves on the small ones. Very useful and due to Amazons great customer service would repurchase for downstairs entryway.

We just moved to a state where it's colder and wetter than where we used to live, so all of a sudden we have rain jackets, light and heavy jackets, hats and scarves. I wanted to be able to grab what we needed quickly when taking the dog out, or just going outside. This coat rack was easy to put together. Took me about 10-15 min. We've been using it for almost 2 months now, and it serves it's purpose well. Lots of spots to hang lighter items such as Dog leash/harness, dog rain jacket, dog fleeces, and for the heavier items, rain jackets, heavy jackets. We've had no issues with it being wobbly, nor any other issues so far. For the price, I feel this was a great buy.

None of the parts fit together the right way and I'm really good at putting together Ikea type of "do it yourself" furniture. I spent an hour so far trying to work around the bad threads. The poles don't twist in so they're loose and lean wherever they want. Way too many parts. This is a coat rack, not an automobile. There's no need for the design to include 25 screws. It could be made so much more functional, but it's not.
I could go on and on about how bad this product is, but I'm so tired and frustrated from trying to put this piece of crap together. It looks like a failed metal shop project from a high school. Do not buy this "coat rack". I don't know what to do now. I really want to make it work, but none of the pieces will fit right & I've already spent so much time on this. To return it would be a pain in the ass too. I really wish I could just get a refund. I'll gladly spend more money on something of better quality that actually works!

I've never had a coat rack, but I'm surprised how convenient it turned out to be :)
My coat closet is 9 feet past my entry, so it's never been a big deal to use it. I definitely appreciate the steps I save having my coats and jackets right beside my door on the rack, and I noticed the convenience immediately.
When I'm heading out and change my mind on what to wear it's right there beside the door. I can snag it or hang it up with one hand since I don't have a coat hanger or door involved, and when I'm looking for a coat there's no searching - just a quick glance and I'm out the door.
I cleared 12 coats out of my closet freeing up a ton of space, and the space 12 coat hooks would take up on my wall for the same convenience would be much larger and wouldn't be portable.
Who knew? Coat racks are where it's at ;)

First the instructions are somewhat vague. It shows putting it together from top to bottom which I thought was backwards. I did it bottom to top. Several of the holes are out of alignment. Thankfully the metal isn't that thick and I was able to force the issue and get them in. I've included a picture of how the screws or angled to the holes. When I got it all together it was leaning off center by about an inch. I put it where I wanted it and bent the legs slightly to where it stood straight. Over all not bad for $25, but it would be a whole lot better if the screw holes lined up. Also I'm not sure how well this rack will work with heavy coats. Seems like it would become top heavy for anything more then the hoodies I'm using it for.
